We may not have TX $$$ but we have enough. LSU raised $500k at our first pitch baseball banquet last night. Not $1 came from OLOL.

Priorities at Louisiana’s flagship for higher education.

People talked shite about the Mayor of New Orleans misappropriating funds for stupid uses, what they don’t realize is that shite is institutional at LSU

Aggies have a weird way of coping

They are finally realizing that they will never see a championship in their lifetime

And the heterosexual ones are realizing their next generation won’t witness one either

It’s cute that they pretend it’s coming from boosters though, “chicken tenders paid for it”

It's really comical that everyone assumes the Chicken King is LSU's largest booster

Sure he's PROBABLY the wealthiest person from Louisiana, but he's not LSU's largest booster. Hell, he didn't even graduate from LSU.

Louisiana has a shite ton of private money from maritime, offshore o&g, private equity, civil contracting, etc. For example: 3 of the largest ship builders in the world (one being the largest) are in Louisiana and all 3 are privately held and have association with LSU.

People assume because there aren't very many massive publicly traded companies associated with LSU that the money isn't there. That's insanely inaccurate. It's just all private money so no one has a clue how much these dudes are worth.

All I heard for years is that we were broke - we prove y’all wrong every time. Once again, people running their mouth without facts - welcome to 2026.

I mean, the children’s hospital robbery and Wade using a debit card to cover NIL before it was legal didn’t help.

LSU’s biggest booster by far is the current student body overpaying for a lower tier education. And there are a billion ways of funneling that money to the athletic department where it’s disguised on the operational budget, e.g. how Oregon was paying millions/year for a university president’s suite at Autzen, which should have been free in the first place

Peak delusion.

The athletic department is constantly donating money to the school, not the other way around.

I’m sure no one overpays for Social justice, women’s study’s, general study’s, or any other lame degree in liberal Austin. If you get a legit degree, you ain’t overpaying at LSU. My son graduates in May in Engineering and has tons of high paying job offers. 90% of his was paid through scholarships. Try again.

The university allocating $60 million to the athletic department and getting $10 million back it didn’t spend at the end of the fiscal year isn’t a donation

Eh, mine seems to have worked out pretty well . To be fair, I did post grad at LSU and undergrad at Tulane.

Anyway, as another poster said, you've got it backwards. LSU's athletic department consistently funnels money back to the University. That's part of the reason they put such an emphasis on football being it's the largest revenue generator.

Since you seem to be the expert, specifically what funds at LSU were misappropriated?

SECCaptain is just another UTSA grad that transferred to UTrans, got a degree in Liberal Arts and pretends that makes him better than everyone while he’s on the internet.

No different than the Blinndergarten grads in AggyLand.

Same fanbase, different colors.

Amazing how the administration is responsible for 75% of the athletic departments revenue

Athletic admininstration and net related activities being the two biggest red flags at $25,216,527 and $29,593,054 respectively with almost no expenses related to them. Strangely pre-NIL athletic admin revenues were always sub $1,000,000. Didn’t LSU supposedly spend $25 million on NIL that year?
