I get that and understand, but they sit there with 4 or 5 NCs now and that is probably more than some of the blue Bloods, right?

Alabama - 12 national championships in the Poll Era
Notre Dame - 8 national championships in the Poll Era
Oklahoma - 7 national championships in the Poll Era
Southern Cal - 7 national championships in the Poll Era
Ohio State - 6 national championships in the Poll Era
Nebraska - 5 national championships in the Poll Era
Texas - 4 national championships in the Poll Era
Michigan - 2 national championships in the Poll Era

LSU has 4 national championships in the Poll Era (just as many as Texas and more than Michigan), however Miami has 5 national championships in the Poll Era and no one considers them a Blue Blood.

Miami, Clemson and FSU had basically 0 success before the 80s; that's why they can't be blue bloods. LSU, Uga, Penn State and Tennessee have had good success throughout their histories, but I don't think they are blue bloods

There are 10 programs that are top 10 in both wins and win %. I'd say those are your blue bloods.

Bama
Irish
Michigan
Nebraska
Ohio St
OU
Penn St
Texas
USC
Vols

Vawls have too many fake natties to be a blue blood. Some of their claims are downright embarrassing.

If you take out the Ivys, these are LSU's ranks:

- 12th all time in wins
- 14th all time winning %
- 10th all time in weeks in AP poll
- 11th all time in weeks at #1 in AP poll
- 8th all time in bowl game appearances

All of these stats combined make LSU a top 8 all time program. There are not many teams that are this highly ranked in all of these metrics.

Compute the average of 12, 14, 10, 11, and 8 and tell me how you arrived at 8?

Hell, if it doesn't matter how long ago they had success, then go ahead and throw princeton, army, and some others in there too. Stop hating on LSU bc your team sucks and can't win a title. LSU is definitely a blue blood football program. One of only 2 to ever win national titles with 3 consecutive head coaches EVER...the other is miami, who is also a blue blood.

You're a mediocre program. Not even top 10 in wins. Go away junior.

Pretty much. Somewhat like only counting shite that happened after 1999.

If all a program can brag about happened in the 1900s, who cares. Yes that matters historically, some, but if you have been completely irrelevant for the past 20-40 years, you are what you are - irrelevant.
