Kirby is sloppy though. He has a Freeze like ability to get commitments from kids that have shown little to no interest out of nowhere. People notice this sort of thing. They noticed with Freeze, and people notice with Kirby. I'm not saying anything will happen to UGA because I hope it doesn't. However, it does turn heads.

Mark was a good football coach. He just wasn't a great football coach. Hope he and his family are enjoying great days in Destin.

Georgia doesn't cheat. Kirby is Saban but better. UGA doesn't want to be, or never does copy everything BAMA does. UGA is going to win it all every year. UGA is the BEST. Did I cover all my bases?

UGA should ALWAYS finish in the top 5 in recruiting every year.Why wouldn't they?
Which school has a better in-state situation? It's certainly not Bama
Richt got lazy and complacent in the 2nd half of his career ALONG with a tight fisted AD who was one of the last to invest in support staff, recruiting budget
and facilities (last to get a IPF)
If signing top 3 classes every year is "copying" Alabama I'm all in.

Which recruit would that be? The one who was always leaning to Bama but suddenly picked UGA?
Freeze got taken down because he went from recruiting in the 50s to have top 5 classes with little success.

Kirby accomplished more in 2017 than Richt did in 15 years as head coach. Kirby also never had to bribe the players with alternate black uniforms to play well.

Fair question....UGA football was a hot mess when Richt was hired and dude did an incredible job of righting the ship. Smart inherited a program that in far better shape than Richt did so time will tell. Under normal circumstances this year would be very important for Smart......if it were a normal year and we drop 3 games during the regular season comparisons to Richt would either be appropriate or unfair to Richt....pick your poison. But if we drop one and win the SEC east it ain't a fair comparison. This season being what it will be won't tell us much one way or the other unless of course we go 6-4 or some shite....if we do not win the east there will be some grumbling for certain. Time will tell...Smart is at a pivotal point in my opinion. I think he is better than Richt but I am not looking at it unbiased....

Kirby Smart isn't Mark Richt. Mark Richt has wins against Saban and Alabama.

Our 2013 recruiting class sucked balls. That was the 2016 senior class. Our best senior was a grad transfer that followed Kirby from Bama.
Oh. And the 2015 Mark Richt team beat Georgia Southern in overtime (almost lost in regulation as GSU was in field goal range) and almost lost to a 3 win GT team as they were driving late in the 4th.
