that is the problem with getting picked high in the draft, usually those picks are made by poorly run organizations.

You just compared Burrow and Russell? Two basically polar opposite QBs running two different systems over a decade apart. Yeah, this is a sincere question.

If Burrow busts it is probably because of the team/organization that drafted him.
Russell busted because of Russell.

He was already off the rails at LSU.
Here he got up in weight to 270-275 easily 20 pounds over where he should have been
There were reports of him not working out
and there was the Oakland report of a coach who gave him a movie and said it was game tape for him to watch. He wanted know if Russell was actually reviewing film. After an hour or two Russell said he watched the tape but never mentioned what was on it.

Oh I never said he wasn’t lazy as hell in the NFL. Just that Oakland at the time didn’t help.

Burrow's rise sort of reminds me of the jump Carson Palmer made in his senior year at USC. Burrow will also probably end up being stuck on hopeless Bengals teams like Palmer was for most of his career.

honestly i don't know. Big diff between college and pro D. He better have a good O-line.
