Yes- it’s just plain offensive. After Jim McElwain and everything else, I just can’t believe it’s 2019 and we’re still objectifying sharks.

This was supposedly raffled off after O's inaugural season when this lead the team onto the field each home game. But no one ever heard who "won" it and it just disappeared. I assumed it just ended up in O's garage. But who knows, they may have buried it underneath the new grass in the stadium.

I guess it’s a shark. Well if it still is I feel the visitors dressing room should have a glass floor with great whites swimming under them

I don't mind the shark idea but we completely botched the look of our mascot...It looks like a giant lizard. Would rather have a fluffy shark.

I was a fan of the bear. I sent some letters supporting a live bear habitat somewhere on or adjacent to campus.

I always said I would be more supportive of the black bear mascot if we got a live mascot. I feel the same with shark. We need some kind of shark tank in the stadium somewhere or on campus. With as long as it took to finish, they should have put one in the new student union.
