I would imagine people remember Bo, 2004, 2010, etc... People also remember Les Miles eating chiggers on a patch of grass. Most people don't have a clue who Billy Cannon is/was....I only know because I have a bunch of old LSU fans in my family. God bless 'em.

nice, but if anyone remembers anything from the year, it's the comeback against Bama

What is your point? That the comeback over Bama was more memorable than the SEC championship or the National Championship games? Ok...I agree I guess. It was very memorable. I can't imagine how you consider than a victory for LSU fans but ok.

i would imagine unless you were alive during the time no one would remember bo or billy, unless you were from the state or a fan of the school.

It's because it's auburn. aside from charles barkley, what else do people remember about auburn?

And what do people remember about LSU? Not much, if you are going by the same standards

i dont consider it a victory, and he ran all over and around, and through us. still, to come back from down that much? that was the most impressive thing i've seen maybe ever. i'm just sayin, aub/bama is bigger than aub/lsu in that state right?

Yes and no. The Bama game in 2010 was the most pivotal in winning it all. In 2004, the LSU game was more memorable because IT was the most pivotal in the undefeated season.

I got a little booklet in the mail yesterday to order some new checks, one of the options had an auburn logo. First time I've ever seen an auburn logo as an option on something like that.

AU fans are further proving themselves the most insecure fanbase in college football in this thread.

-Please recognize our championship

-You just mad cuz we beat {insert school}

-it really happened, please believe me. . .

Every response in this thread by a Varner fits neatly in one of the above whines.

Ignoring this thread would have made you guys come across better than the crying, pleading, justifications you have offered in this thread.

Enjoy your championship. Who cares if nobody else remembers it?

I think it is hilarious that people still throw out the "bought and paid for" lines at this point. We checked it out for 6 months prior, and have been under the most intense scrutiny of any SEC school in recent memory with the NCAA and every barney fife wannabe reporter checking under every damn rock they can, and still nothing saying we paid, or even offered to pay anyone anything. But people have passed their judgment and will not change what they "know" to be true. LOL - haters gonna hate

I realize that people have passed their judgement on AU. And, usually that judgement diminishes after a few weeks and most folks don't think about it anymore. Then BAM - the four AU players get on HBO and accuse AU's coaches and booster of P4P - and that just puts it all back in the forefront for the nation to see.

This isn't a flame, even though I am sure that was the op's intent, but LSU's, UA's and UF's national championships seem like they didn't happen to me. They weren't important to me, so I really don't give them a second thought.
