That’s a short sighted response without even knowing the outcome.

Out of business school, she was recruited by one of the largest banking institutions in the world… and is now working for them in NYC.

Mostly because her 3.8 GPA from A&M is substantially more meaningful than the hundreds of schools she could have gone to.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it cowboy.

There has been a big push to bring in Honors students.
This is true and the public school system in this State known as the Black Belt is pitiful to the point of embarrassment. Why not target the OOS private schools with smarter and better prepared HS student that will provide a higher quality student?

OOS parents are still getting a discount paying tuition at Alabama compared to in state tuition in a state like California or an East coast state.

She has no debt dip shlt…. Her mom and I are Texas A&M graduates as well. That means we had plenty of cash to pay for her school.

Thanks for the peek behind the curtain as to what an Arky degree gets you… when your first assumption is debt!

Sounds like you Arky folks can’t afford much.

“My daughter had a full academic scholarship to Alabama….

I said sweetie, you really need to think hard about your future.

She made the right choice and we paid full tuition for her to attend Texas A&M.

And now, she’s been so much more successful in life!”

Alabama isn’t for everyone. That’s why Auburn and A&M can exist.

What a dummy you were. Even as an Auburn fan, II can recognize what a stupid decision that was. Might as well go to your bank and just burn $75,000.

Dear lord I hope your daughter is smarter than you are trying to talk this kind of shite on the SECRant of all places.

We are happy you are proud of your daughter, her 3.8 GPA and her job at a bank - but none of us care. It really isn't impressive enough to gloat about.

You’re right, I don’t know how things would have turned out had she gone to Bama

If your daughter received a full ride to BAMA and you chose to pay for any other school--not just TxAm--you need your head examined as does your daughter for allowing you to do so.
