Facts. Response is true. Freeze is good at recruiting regardless of OP’s intent.

Doubling down? What the frick are you talking about?

Holy shite, y’all will defend him to no end.

Again, many speculated the penalty would be extremely severe, SMU level, thus similar to SMU. I posted an article, there are others.

As a fellow OM fan I can say yes. Stipulations exist. Talent he recruits is usually on a state funded phone, and 3 star by OM standards.

This thread is about Freeze's recruiting ability.......not about the "death penalty" as you have brought up so many times.

About that........

quote:

The death penalty—part of the “repeat violators” rule in official NCAA parlance—wiped out SMU’s entire 1987 season and forced the Mustangs to cancel their 1988 campaign as well

LINK

Was Ole Miss "repeat violators"? If they weren't, they were far from facing the "death penalty".

ETA Hell, your HC in basketball was caught buying players.........himself: out of his pocket. Was LSU bball facing the "death penalty"?

Then why did Shane Hooks flip from Ole Miss to Auburn? Hmmmm

Because he was a walk-on and y’all offered a scholly.

Why did Austin Keys transfer from OM to Auburn? Hmmmmm

Money and playing time which he wasn’t guaranteed at Ole Miss.

Why did OM’s O-Line coach leave OM to go coach at Auburn? Hmmmmm

You obviously aren’t very knowledgeable. He was told to find a new home and he knew at the Eggbowl because he hugged all the OL and cried as he told them he wasn’t going to be back next year.

Now why did CLK turn you down?
How about Q telling you to pound sand?
Now Kam kicked you in the jimmy. Melt bitch!

Lol no he wasn’t a walk-on lmao

Because you’re poor. He was pretty much a starter at OM. He is 2nd string at Auburn.

Then why did he not leave until after Freeze was hired and he offered him? Why not just fire the guy right after the season?

In our defense after getting the NCAA hammer Matt Luke was about as good as we could get. What is your excuse about getting off the Gus Bus?

In reference to his recruiting ability or perception thereof.

No shite, I referenced him in another post. He cheated and the program suffered as a result. I don’t know what was considered.

Again, not about LSU.

We fired our coach, Auburn hired a known cheater who received a show cause penalty.

Yes he was go ask any of our Mods on On3 and Rivals. It was actually reported before he left that he was not on scholly.

Yep you are right, just ask Kam how poor Ole Miss. With portal additions and a 5* freshman he would likely be 3rd string had he stayed at Ole Miss.

I don’t know, why not ask him. I imagine that CLK was being classy and letting him find a home. Once again this was reported Thornton wouldn’t be returning on On3 and Rivals the day after the Eggbowl.

His program was growing stale. He was perennially 8-4. He was 3-5 against bama and LSU. He was 2-7 against UGA
. That may be o.k. at Ole Miss. That doesn't fly at Auburn.
