Is Chip Kelly's failure in the NFL proof that JFF will fail too?

HUNH not working out so well for Philly.

NFL defense are too athletic for that.

We already know JFF won't be able to chuck hail Mary's off his back foot into quadruple coverage for completions in the NFL, it just won't happen. But the athleticism of the defense means he won't be able to run wild either behind the LOS either.

How are they related at all? The offense JFF runs in college is completely different from Kelly's

Chip Kelly's offense fails because they go for 2 all the time and don't kick field goals.

Same reason Oregon loses when the game is within 7 points.

Also, its a little early to call Kelly a failure.

Don't get me wrong, I don't really want that playground ball to be successful in the NFL but, I think its a little early to call him a failure.

The HUNH should be a PART of an offensive package, not the whole offense.

Do you ever think Oregon would do what A&M did yesterday at Arkansas and pound its opponent into submission on the ground?

They kicked 3 field goals today and never went for two. Field Goals and XPs are not the issue when you're getting blasted by 5 TDs

I'm using the KC game last week as my reference.

They went for 2 after scoring to make it 10-6.

Just the opposite of what you think. The real problem is the Philly defense is on the field waaaay too much. They are giving up lots of points in the 4th Q.

NFL defensive players cannot stay on the field that many plays. Philly losing time of possession even when they are scoring points. They do not have enough players to rotate out on defense to stay fresh.

So while it is a defensive problem, it is Philly's own defense that is going to cause this experiment to fail.

I think people need to slow down a bit. The Eagles only won 4 games last year and had a starting WR go down for the year.

2 of the 3 teams they've lost to are sitting at 4-0.

I would look at Russell Wilson in Seattle for a Manziel evaluation.

Not Vick in Philly.

All it means is that even smart, driven, a-1 personality types that are highly successful leave great jobs for shitty ones.

I agree Russell Wilson helped the comeback against
the Texans with his running similar to J Manzel today.
