I attribute that to the culture at LSU

What culture is there at LSU?

It's pretty much just culinary.

Basketball has always been more competitive. You have a new champion just about every year. Football on the other hand is Bama every year

The SEC West has been Bama, LSU, and one team to be named as the season goes on. Usually Auburn but everyone has had their turn in the third spot.

Yes. Even Arkansas if you go back to just before Petrino's little whoopsy doo.

If you mean less predictable and more evenly matched, then yes. But the SEC is the best football conference, not the best basketball conference. So it that aspect it is not the most competitive.

SEC basketball is a lot more competitive and interesting. We usually know how football is going to turn out every year.
