Is Bama risking Tua’s future for a win vs LSU?

A loss to LSU without Tua doesn’t really hurt Bama unless you think there are going to be 4 undefeated teams at the end of the year.

LSU is their Super Bowl. They'll do anything it takes - even if it puts a player in danger! Sad.

Nfl combine doctors are going to have a field day.

There will be.
It's too soon to know if Bama is going to risk him playing for us to be having this discussion. Need to see how he heals and how he looks in practice in two weeks.

Are they playing right now? If not, Tua is not in danger

Should just sit him anyway. Bama looses with Tua anyway.

There certainly could be complications

My answer is NO. They are playing him to save his life. He doesn’t play and his dad will beat him to death

They should just put whitebread under center and go power I. I think they’d still be a top 5 team like that.

There are literally too many players from bama limping into the nfl.

I know that I may be naive, but I don't see Saban doing that to this young man. Nor do I see his parents allowing it. Saban is not a new guy trying to make a name for himself. He came back after 4 weeks last year and has been just fine. Was he ready after 3 weeks? Maybe.

Having the tightrope procedure on both ankles going forward is probably a plus for Tua. It will add increased stability to the joint and make him less prone to high ankle sprains in the future. It's a good thing he has had both of them done now while in college. Speaking strictly from an NFL point of view.

Nah, his ankle with this procedure is now stronger than it ever was, it pretty much impossible for him to ever get another high ankle sprain on that side (notice how the ankle he got done last year was fine after that dline fell on it with all his weight). The recovery time on this is really just to let the surgery wound close up. He will be fine, but thanks for the concern

His leg is just gonna snap now instead of him getting an ankle sprain.
