ummmmmmmmm yes. He didnt have the ball.
In theory, yes he should have gotten out of the way. But that's easier said than done. Can you not comprehend that I agree with you that it is a penalty? I'm simply saying it wasn't egregious.

It was egregious. No way around it.

Wow, frame by frame or not it was an illegal hit and Ware praised the guy. Please remind me, what are the penalties for hitting the QB in the helmet vs kick catch interference. That disgraceful Vandy player celebrated after that illegal hit. Suspend him for a game, he'll ban him from D1 football. What a POS THUG!!!!!!

Not if it started differently then his helmet ended up looking like it was a helmet to helmet in the picture. again, you cannot judge a play by just a picture. That is what I was going towards. I did not say if clean or not. And I clearly said this.
Show me the video, then make judgement on that picture

Why are you guys defending Wade? There is no excuse for leveling a guy and the ball lands 5 yards behind you then you jump up and act like a complete jackass from the celebration all the way to the walk toward the lockerroom. An absolute disgraceful display of utter bullshite. He needs to be punished and he should offer an apology while pubicly recognizing he was acting like a dipshit.

A bunch of nubtrons are going to start slapping their keyboards soon. I hope they like bullet wounds and french dipped knuckle sandwiches.

I never defended him. In an earlier post I said the penalty was deserved and that I was fine with the ejection. My point is all of the morons blowing it out of proportion with the "kick him off the team" and the "he's a POS" statements. The guy messed up, he was ejected, and he'll probabably miss the next game. What more would any rational minded person expect?
I posted the picture because, by the rules of play, that hit was just as illegal as Wades.
I am of the opinion that if you the referees are going to go to the lengths of ejecting a player for that type of play then the NCAA might as well bring back the halo rule.

There are degrees of illegal. Just standing too close can be called kick catch interference, which is the same penalty as what Wade did. But standing too close won't get you ejected.
By the way, do you like french dipped knuckle sandwiches?

I guess if we meet at a neutral Sonic ill find out.
I don't necessarily disagree with the ejection, but let me ask this.
Have you seen similar hits? I have. Have you seen a player ejected for said hit? I haven't.
If the SEC or NCAA is going to use this to set a precedent, i.e. suspension from the next game, then why not reinstate the halo rule?

Have you seen similar hits?
I have seen a couple just as bad against receivers that were not even targeted by the pass play. I think an ejection was warranted in those plays as well.

How many times do you think Fairley deserved an ejection?
Was his hit in the MNC game not egregious?

That's reasonable, Not that you have been one of the unreasonable posters on this topic.
Like I said, my problem is with the morons that have said kick him off the team, he's a POS, etc.
The kid screwed up and was in the wrong, reasonable Arkansas fans know it. I don't think it's necessarily a comment on his character. His actions afterwards may say different, but that's an issue that should, and im sure will, be dealt with by the coaching staff.

quote:I don't recall an egregious hit in the NC that would even be close to deserving of an objection. The only thing I recall from the NC game related to him was he pushed down on a RB as he was getting up after a tackle. I think he got flagged for it, which he should have.
Was his hit in the MNC game not egregious?

How did you feel about Chad Jones' dirty shot on Joe Adams a couple of years ago?
Exactly. Joe Adams had a fricking stroke after that hit and missed some practices. Talk about almost killing somebody. The dude Wade hit was back in the game returning punts.
