Solid logic if IT didn't read that from a previous post on here. It's just another cotton picking butthurt LSU fan.

This year? Probably not.

Next year? frick yes, sucks he'll have to split catches with Black, White & Bell.....it's a problem I would love to have.

He has the potential to be the best. He has potential to be as good as AJ / Julio.

Moncrief has potential to be that good too.

Anyone who says Swope has been better than Cooper, this year. GTFO. Evans has been better than Coop, but not Swope. The stats don't prove it.

It's to note that...

Evans also has Swope.
Patterson also has Hunter.
Hamilton has ........
Moncrief has .........
Matthews has .........

Cooper has Norwood? Which Norwood is very capable, but I'd still say Swope and Hunter > Norwood.

Not trolling or anything, but I wonder how good Cooper would be if he was in an offense that didn't have as good of a running game that Bama does.

It just seems like half of his TD's are a result of being wide open and running by his defenders on PA fakes.

He reminds me a lot of how the Steelers use Mike Wallace. It doesn't necessarily make him any less valuable that he gets most of his yards on deep PA passes. The kid is fast as hell and is starting to even develop more of a possession receiver game as the season goes along.

Patterson is better right now IMO, but I would not trade anyone for Cooper other than maybe DGB considering that he is a true freshman.

"Best" is subjective since it usually entails comparing different roles and across different contexts.

At this point in the season I don't think anyone is playing better than Cooper. Hard to believe he's just a Fr. Will be interesting to see if he can sustain that level in the future.

No, but he's a very good one, and will only get better.

No, true freshman. He will likely leave after his junior year though.

I agree with that. He reminds me a lot of a young reggie wayne. Average stature but a superb route runner with the ability to get open because of the speed and fluidity of his cuts. He isn't the specimen that julio jones was/is...but very few are. I think he is in the same ballpark as freshman julio though as a football player, he's eclipsed his stats by a wide margin and will likely blow a few school records out of the water if he can stay healthy.

I was meh on him as a recruit, boy was I wrong

Hamilton did what he did while being double covered every play because all our other WRs were inconsistent. That is comparing a senior to a freshman though so its not really fair at this point
