Don't they teach statistics at Alabama?? LSU went 9-0 in the SEC in 2011, so that makes LSU more dominant in the SEC based on winning % than the 10+ years of OU winning Big XII championships the last decade...
seriously?
LSU won the BCSNC back in 2007, another accomplishment to be proud of - but damn that seems so long ago.

What did the non biased NCAA poll conclude?
A non-biased poll?? lol
It concluded that Oklahoma State had no chance at playing for a National Championship because they weren't pretty enough...
Alabama beat LSU but we'll never know how LSU or Alabama would have matched up against Okie State
It's the biggest failing of the college football postseason. Before USC lost to Texas in '05, they were considered the best team of all time by many...ESPN had a special on it. And then they lost to Vince Young and Texas...
Its a lot better when the games are played on the field, and not voted on

I could go back further if you like.

LSU has nothing to do with this thread...there's no LSU dynasty lol
This thread is talking about dynasties, and whether the recent Bama run is one or not

Or because they lost to Iowa State. Whichever you prefer.

Yeah... we all know that either LSU or Bama would have named their score against OSU.

If 35-5 isnt dominating a conference, nothing is.
I wish someone, anyone would name a team that has a better conference record than that. LSU/UGA/FLA/SoCarl/AU/UT/Arky??????

you can't even produce a real argument, not even on the expansion thread....
I'm sure you think you're right in your head, but probably just can't explain it well typing it out

you recall incorrectly btw 7-7
I'm pretty sure he is right. Both UF and Mississippi State didn't have winning records until the bowl games. I think it was 7 for Oklahoma State and 3 for Bama.

I dont need an argument. Bama is a dynasty and everyone but the butthurt LSU fans agree. Thats odd isnt it?

I would like go point out to the dumbasses in this thread that LSU and Florida both had 1-2 loses in all of their championship seasons. And if it weren't for WVU fricking up to whoever it was we wouldn't be talking about 7. Alabama and Auburn (go figure both are from Alabama, the best football state) are the only ones that can say they had at least 1 perfect championship season.
Also, every time Alabama played the #1 or #2 team, they slaughtered them. Badly. So GTFO.

Since we're on the topic of SEC Championships, I'll go back to the formation of the title game. (Which may even violate the criteria of overlapping "dynasties")

10 minutes left and then happy hour till 7 for me. Two for one draft beers.

They won't be a dynasty until they have done something no one else has. Break the all time wins in row streak. Win three straight national titles. Until then they are just another historic program doing what's expected of them. It's no different than Nebraska, Miami and Notre Dame. Bama's good right now, but outside the SEC the rest of the country sucks. Thats why I think Bama really succeeds is outside LSU they play cupcakes for the title.

In 2009, Alabama played and beat the previous FOUR national champions. All in one season.
I don't know if this point applies to this thread, but it's certainly fapworthy.

ya, just like Florida was supposed to roll Louisville in the Sugar Bowl, and Alabama should have beaten Utah...
Personally, I agree with you, but that's why they PLAY THE GAMES. Upsets do happen in college football, as do injuries....sort of like when Colt Mccoy went down against Bama...
