LSU got a third chance in 2007. Oklahoma also didn't win their conference one season and still made the BCSNC
That's great...
no one on here is saying LSU is a dynasty lol
And the year OU didn't win their conference, they lost in the NC game and everyone said they didn't belong there BECAUSE THEY LOST THEIR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. The next year the BCS changed its rules, much like after '11

No but you did say that Alabama has to be in control of their conference during that time.
It was shown to you that they were.
Then you said they had to dominate their conference like Oklahoma.
It was shown to you that they had dominated significantly better than Oklahoma.
So now you're changing your argument to basically Bama got lucky breaks.
And we're showing you that generally lucky breaks are the rule, not the exception.

you can't compare a 5 year span with a 10 year span...lol
beyond retarded, seriously
you'll have to wait till 2018, and see how Alabama fares...see how many SEC Championships they have...OU has quite a few Big XII titles in that span
Bama? 2 so far

You're being deliberately obtuse. You know as well as I do that 6-6 in the SEC >>>>>>>>> 7-5 in the Big 12
And Florida was 2 TDs better than Louisville last year, and OSU was 8 points better than Florida in 2006
I mean A&M fans can say they went from being a .500 team in the Big 12 to doing pretty damn well in the SEC.
I am looking at things objectively; OSU played more good teams than Bama did based on record
LINK
SOS OSU was much higher based on almost every single poll

Clearly, winning your conference is better than NOT winning your conference....
Clearly! Bama football has won 23 of the mother phuckers. Tell us which SEC team is even close to that number.

The fact that there us 7 pages devoted to this topic should tell you, without a doubt, that it is a dynasty.

I don't disagree with this at all....in fact, its the nature of college football national championships....
That's why I put so much emphasis on conference championships...those are truly won on the field, not by votes
So we agree, Alabama won their NCs because of lucky breaks, and not because of dominance during the regular season??

I like that Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Mizzou, and and OSU fans say yes.
A few LSU fans say no.
A few LSU fans say no.

lol
really?? First and foremost is that we're going to a playoff, and they are trying to do away with the term BCS

95% dominance on the field, 5% lucky breaks

Which objective measure would you like to use?
I used the SOS rankings, and almost every one of them had OSU over Bama.
I'm not debating this any more. Bama was the best in 2011, but shouldn't have played for the title

They played their games out on the field as did all other teams. In the end they were put into the national championship and won the game. No matter what you say that is the way it happened and will be remembered. They dominated enough to get into the game and then dominated the game.
You analogies as to 2011 Alabama and 2012 Florida are based on logical fallacies because of who Alabama jumped vs. who Florida would have jumped.
