This thread is a joke in so many ways. bama fans being bama fans, LSU fans being LSU fans. Neither can stand each other, so what this whole thread boils down to is a pissing match over whose phrick is bigger. And neither side will concede. But what is factual is both coaches & teams respect each other, both knowing how good each team really is. Regardless of what the records may be, bama knows LSU is not afraid to play them anywhere & will always give it the best game of the year. LSU know this as well. Teams respecting each other is what counts in the real world. Course, TD has nothing to do with that world. I laugh at the stupidity of both fan bases when this subject comes up, as I've heard it going on 30 yrs now in some form or another.
no one on here is trying to claim LSU a dynasty though...this is about Alabama's current run and how to define it. Sorry, but I've watched enough college football to know that there have been more comprehensive dynasties and better teams.
You've got Bama fans on here who can't put together an argument to save their lives....comparing 5 year spans with 20 year spans....

Nah, LSU degrees are more valuable than degrees from Bama, guess you ignored that thread.

I saw it. It was about ROI, not value. LSU being 20 bucks a semester gives it a higher ROI.

God your dense
3 of 4 is the only argument we need

What is your criteria for a dynasty? Do you want to see more longevity before it can be considered a dynasty?

he somewhat provided it a few pages back, look for the comparisons with other teams

2 conference championships...
how can you be a national dynasty when you can't dominate your own conference?

A higher ROI is more valuable.

Someone already provided a rebuttal to this.

if I have a rate of return of 2:1 on $5 or a rate of 1.5:1 on $10, which end result has more value?

TF? You can't make it to 3 National Championship games in 4 years without dominating your conference.
I'm just trying to understand your criteria. SEC Titles matter but National Titles don't?

So, nearly every publication/sports media outlet is wrong because you say the "dynasty" hasn't lasted long enough.
CBS Sports disagrees
Athlon Sports disagrees
CNN disagrees
"I really believe that this is, in my lifetime, the best dynasty that I've ever seen in college football," ESPN personality Kirk Herbstreit tweeted about Alabama.
Sports Illustrated disagrees
Forbes disagrees
Even the Big Ten Network disagrees
But a message board poster done got it all figgered out. Cool story bro. I'll leave the thread in your capable hands.

So to recap once again
LSU fans: No
Everyone else: Yes
Interesting
Pretty much. What amazes me are the Auburn fans going to bat against the logical fallacies and double standards being employed in this thread. (
And if conference championships are the big (arbitrary) determining factor in this dynasty debate, I'm interested in the take on Alabama circa the 1970s, when we won 8/10 of them in addition to the national championships. No, that couldn't be a dynasty because there wasn't a conference championship game being played.
See the pattern? They aren't just imposing completely arbitrary dynasty "guidelines," they are doing it in such a way as to effectively move the goalpost any time 'Bama gets close to it.
Realization makes the desperation seem all the more evident. It's fricking pathetic.

By popular demand, Alabama has been awarded the SEC RANT's 3/4 Fluke of a Dynasty Award.
Lets here it for the Alabama faithful.

You, on the other hand, have done practically nothing but troll and incite. I believe a post quality review is in order.
