They are #8 defensively in FEI. It's the toughest defense Vandy has faced all year. Alabama #9 is the next best, and Vandy only scored 14. 7 of them off a short field.

Iowa lost to Indiana 20-15. They are a pretty good team.

Vandy defense is #52. Average at best.

Yep. They’re getting hit by a train right now. The defensive indicators in the stats are showing up on the field.

Iowa is a damn good team and could beat any SEC team.

Probably so. Their defense is ranked ahead of Oklahoma and Georgia which are the two highest ranked in the SEC. They had a few very close losses.

iowa defense has never been the issue in the past, it's always been the offense.

we often joke their punter is their best offensive weapon

Alabama beat Vandy at full strength by 3 scores.

Oof. SEC was way overrated.

Methinks A&M could’ve gotten blasted 28-3 by Ohio State.

Kinda glad I’m not going to see that.

It was a close game. Difference was a few turnovers deep in the redzone by Pavia.

Not really, Alabama started slow with an INT and missed FG in the first quarter. Tied it up by the half and held Vandy scoreless the entire 2nd half.

So a 20-14 game with Vanderbilt deep in the redzone in the 4th quarter wasn’t close?

Got it

Yeah! I don’t know who Bob Swerski is, but I feel like there’s definitely more than one of them

Go to YouTube and search Bob Swerski (sp) Superfan. It’s old Saturday Night Live skit with George Wendt.

Not really. The score was still that close because Alabama had taken control over the game and was eating up all the clock. Vandy ran a total of 9 plays the entire 3rd quarter, and 2 of them were punts.

They could have gotten back into it, but outside the 1 pass before the INT, it wasn't really happening for them offensively.

Felt like the game wasn't really as close as the score said. Their first 7 points came on the 1st drive on a long run because of a defensive frick up. Their 2nd 7 came after Alabama had a 30 yard punt giving them the ball on the Alabama 38.
