Guys, I'm telling you...You are wrong.
If you solicit cash in the recruiting process, you are no longer an amateur. You are ineligible.
Period. Wherever you're getting your facts from, they are wrong. Obviously, it will be a lot worse for Auburn if payment was indeed made, but nonetheless "solicitation of cash" in not legal under NCAA rules as you claim. You could not be further from the truth, when the opposite of what you are saying is the truth.

Its going to come down to money changing hands. Anyone can request money, so what! If they find a 200,000 dollar contribution to Cecil's church, AU will be SMU!

They cannot say, "Hey, Death Penalty for LSU because purple and gold is ugly as shite".
That is true...but they have enough to make Cam ineligible and make all the wins vacated.

I asked for $20 to steer Trent Richardson to Alabama. Saban told me to go frick myself, but he should still be ineligible since I solicited money.

ESPN said it is NOT against NCAA rules to ask for anything, money included.
Now receiving is a different story, but asking for money doesnt break any NCAA rules.

Very possible, I'm just telling you ... I know for a fact that it can't be done. It is specifically against NCAA rules.

Depends. Are you Trent's father? If so, you would have fricked Trent.

@Tiger Attorney:
The NCAA has enough to suspend Newton pending an investigation. If exonnerated, Newton could sue if he chose.
I think the decision whether or not to suspend him will be made based on how confident the NCAA is that they will eventually be able to prove a violation.
Amirite?

Are you Trent Richardson's dad, or do you represent him? If not, your point is completely irrelevant to the conversation at hand.

Damn, I paid way more than that to another dude...You're telling me you could have done it for that bargain basement price?

That's the deal imo, there is a clear connection between Cecil and Cam. Not like this is some stranger being accused of asking for money to get Cam's sig

Does it say in the rule that I have to be his dad, or just somebody representing him?
