We rushed the field that night.
Do you remember the fumbled kick recovered by LSU that they were going to award to Bama?
That was the first use of instant replay in CFB.

I didn't scroll up, what year was it? That's a neat little factoid. Was that actually THE first game/time/use of it or jsut that season?

Yep.
The twin moons got the crowd back in that game.

It's tough to win on the road in the SEC.
Special teams miscues.
A offensive hold here or an offsides there.
It doesn't take much to rob your own team of points.
And what should be a runaway at halftime becomes a game that gives the other team hope and fight.
UGA had a lot of games where we "should have been up more than we were" last season. South Carolina. Notre Dame. We had a lot of self inflicted wounds keeping those games close. And it is safe to say that our luck improved (or our depth showed out) and we won those games.
2018 will be much of the same. We will have games where we struggle to get out of our own way in the first half. @LSU, @South Carolina, and the WLOCP may be those games.

Instant replay wasn't a thing then.
During commercial break, the jumbotron operated kept replaying the fumble and recovery and the whole crowd, players, and coaches were pointing to it and begging the officials to overturn the call.
It worked.

2000.
With just over 7 minutes left and LSU up 23-21 we saw the dawn of instant replay in the SEC. Davis muffed a punt, and despite Erin Damond clearly jumping on the ball in full view of the crowd and pulling it out of the massive scrum that ensued, the officials seemed to have no idea what just happened. As the referees huddled up to figure out what was going on, one was clearly signaling an Alabama recovery, but as all parties involved were pleading their cases, the head referee Steve Landis (who, coincidentally, is now a conference replay official) appeared to sneak a glance up at the score board video monitor, which was replaying the muff and recovery. LSU kept the ball, and went on to score the decisive touchdown. It's still one of the funniest things I've ever seen a referee do in a game, and the conference has since passed a rule on home scoreboard operators running "any replay that might embarrass the officials." Because yeah, it was all the scoreboard operator's fault.

The one thing that article doesn't mention is that the Bama tackler was blocked into Davis, initially drawing an interference flag. It was after the flag was picked up because the player was blocked into the return man, the ref signaled first down, Alabama. The crowd went absolutely apeshit.
So while it wasn't an official replay, the call was overturned due to video evidence.
...and LSU would go on to beat Alabama in Tiger Stadium for the first time since 1969.

Since 2010 LSU is 14-4 against ranked teams and 14-1 against ranked teams not named Alabama in Death Valley.
How many of those teams finished ranked in both polls?

A betting man would be smart to pick Georgia, but it's far from a sure thing.
I think LSU is good to win 1 out of Auburn/Miami/Georgia.

Tiger stadium is not that big of a deal. The fans are a holes and its loud but we get loud everywhere we play.
Sounds like it's probably you who is the a-hole. When Bama comes to town, I see tons of mixed tailgates and you never really see or hear of any issues between fans, unless you're a fan looking to create an issue.

That is why I said you must have been born this century.
Four of those wins came against Mike Shula.
He and Ears Whitworth are the only Alabama coaches with losing records in BR since the creation of the southeastern conference. Congrats.

you are sick, man. your obsession with LSU and your need to denigrate anything about the LSU program, true or not, should be addressed for the sake of your mental health. have you considered a professional? perhaps your priest?
the sad thing is that I am serious. hate shouldn't last this long.
