It’s a little long but the first half(about 10 mins) he goes into how coaches now treat roster management and the current landscape of college football.

I think it’s worth a listen.

Assuming you just have to think in terms of two year increments instead of four. That means HS freshmen have to enroll early and be ready to go. And, OL/QB are the premium.

He goes into it a little deeper. Also if you keep watching after he starts talking more about the current class…..a reporter sidetracks and ends up with him absolutely shitting on the ACC again.

This will apply to the teams that recruit at a high level.
But college football could evolve the path of college basketball with elite players being one and done and lesser teams becoming more competitive because they have experienced players who stay 4 years and become a well oiled machine in a system.

Just save the mental energy and watch 10 minutes or so of the video.

This isn’t some podcaster making an educated guess at how things work. He knows what he’s talking about.

The NFL doesn’t want these 1-done players. Where are they supposed to go?

If you think about it even the instant impact 5 stars really only have a truly meaningful impact for 2 years.
Getting acclimated freshman year then leaving after their junior year.

We do a good job managing our cap. I like how he talks about having a "general manager."
