I understand recruiting rankings are overrated to some degree, but that's why you sign several of the top OL/DL so you can afford to miss on a couple. There's a good chance several of Alabama's players signed this year won't touch the field for a couple of years, but that's simply because Alabama has talented OL/DL stockpiled.
You can trace every Alabama NC under Saban to one thing - they dominate in the trenches. It's great to land talented skill players every year, but if LSU doesn't have the same level of talent on the OL/DL, they will never consistently compete for NCs.
It seems like we've been on the wrong end of the scoreboard against Alabama long enough that we would have readjusted our recruiting strategy, but that has yet to happen. I just don't understand what is so hard to understand

Oh, and when will that be? Alabama has won NC in every decade since 1920, except 1950's and 1980's, and in most won multiple titles.
