Was AP the only poll back then. I think not there were several and again only one team had a perfect record that year and it was Arkansas. Prior to 65 bowl games didn’t count but because of the injustice done to Arkansas in the 64 season they changed to where all polls were taken after the bowl season

Of these teams...only won has won Championships in the big four (football, basketball, baseball, and hockey) and the emerging one (soccer)..."Hail to the Victors".

Yep. The next year they were undefeated but were upset by LSU in the Cotton Bowl. Under some of the previous polls where bowl games didn’t count they would have been champions.
