Was a great run. Just had a bad matchup at PG this game. Nice season though.

Som programs have better histories but that doesn't mean they are better jobs unless it is the NBA which simply pays much more.

NBA doesn’t pay more. Average HC makes $4M a year. We are already paying more and believe we could go up to 8m if need be.
The high earners in the NBA make 8-11M yes but that’s not the average.
Example Taylor Jenkins who has the Grizz with the 2nd best record in the West makes $2.5M a year
There are college coaches that make that as well but we are already paying more than the average NBA salary

The good thing is there are only two jobs out west that are better than Arkansas (UCLA and Arizona), and neither should be making coaching changes for a while.
I'd even argue that Arizona is questionable. They've had less tournament success and have 2 less Final Fours. I, personally, don't consider them a blue blood, but I can see why some might.

He’s already turned down Arizona. Did it last year.
UCLA would be my only worry of him leaving but I don’t see that happening within the next 10 years
His sister is in Texas, his wife has family in Arkansas and doesn’t want to leave along with his daughter

Eric doesn’t want back in the NBA unless it’s with a loaded team which won’t happen.
He turned down his dream job last year to stay (Arizona).
His wife and daughter don’t want to leave Fayetteville. Wife is basically the Queen of NWA and daughter has great friends and loves everything about the area. He will get another raise and isn’t going anywhere
Interesting. I know a lot of people connected with Eric and they have said basically the same thing. He did indeed turn down Arizona last year. His wife and daughter love living in Northwest Arkansas.
I'm hearing there is going to be a major renovation at Bud Walton Arena soon. They're going to try and keep capacity at 19k.
