We do give Mullen credit for raising the bar to 7.5 average wins a season. Now we expect Moorhead to raise it another level. Thanks for taking him off our hands. We are happy that you embrace him
2017 with Mullen 9-4 Bowl win with Mullen’s RB coach and backup QB.
2018 with JoMo 8-5 Bowl loss with the starting QB, your actual HC, and a better defense. Nobody believes you but okay.

yeah... my fatass sitting on the couch was as effective as Louisville's defense. You know the guy Peter Sirmon who we traded for Grantham. That guy was the defensive coach and they finished last in the country in defense. LAST. But you didn't watch the games so you don't know WTF you are talking about. You are an embarrassment to the rant. You make this place dumber by your presence and not intentionally.

Wait, so we should go into panic mode because we lost our bowl game? Meanwhile, you want to give Mullen credit for winning a bowl game he didn't even attend?
The difference between our 2017 and 2018 bowl games was that Fitzgerald was the QB in 2018. Fitz cant run an offense that requires him to think. And to throw.

You mean the Louisville with the Hiesman trophy winner that beat Clemson? Got it. Great argument.

That was kinda my point. Fits looked like he knew what he was doing and was better than average in the conference with CDM. Enter Gurt and he looks like a dumpster fire. Thank your lucky stars for all that talent on D. When that’s gone yikes.

Mississippi State will not finish higher than their #11 in 2014.
If this is the case, then why tf are we on your mind?
This post will be bookmarked for Florida's epic demise.

We’re lucky your university is located in Starkville, so we could take the best coach and AD in your history too. Just sayin.

Based on what? Stats show Fitz was about the same despite learning a new offense.

He looked terrible. Moorhead didn’t realize he was a bad passer until after the UF game, and he strung a few good rushing games together at the end of the year. CDM at least had him comfortable, playing to his strengths. Did you happen to watch any of his games? Stats lie sometimes bud.

Florida is a better program than Mississippi State. Shocking.
The thing is that the Mississippi State fans on this board were constantly downplaying Mullen, and saying that he held the program back. They talked shite about his recruiting, they said that he was a middle-of-the-road coach and I guess it's good to know that Mississippi State clearly held him back and not the other way around.
He took a 4 - 7 team in a transition year to the top ten and had a top ten recruiting class, beating Alabama and Georgia for two very highly touted recruits.
So while this is obvious, I think Mississippi State fans needed to at least be reminded that their program is dead last or second to last in about every category that matters.

Will you stop with this bullshite talking point.
How many injured and suspended players did Mullen get back from the '17 team? What was number of scholarship
players on the team at the end of the year in '17 compared to '18?
Weren't you down by about 30+ players in '17?

Mullen was their best coach by far that they've ever had and will not see another coach like him.
Florida stacked. SEC fricked.

No, because it's not bullshite.
It's not like he inherited the sixth ranked team on the 247 composite and went 8 - 5 with a loss to Vanderbilt.
He took a terrible Quarterback and put him over 30 touchdowns, he took an entire team full of inexperienced players (especially on the offense) and immediately increased their production by over 50+ slots on offense.
Our two best receivers were transfers.
Top ten finish (ahead of Georgia).
Top ten recruiting class.
Taking over a broken program. Dude can coach sports.

He didn’t look great against Georgia but the season as a whole he looked much better.

Checking into this thread for obligatory obsessiveness. I'm pulling a Switzerland and will just observe.

Mullen got 3 of the suspended players back 5 of the 9 were ultimately told to look elsewhere and Callaway went pro. We had 13 players out for Georgia in 17’. We had 6 players out for Georgia 18’.
Overall 14 starters and 7 backups missed games in 17’.
6 starters and 4 backups missed games in 18’.
