I'd say that's about right.

Didn't SI do a poll on this not too long ago? Broke down states' fan allegiances. Most surprising thing I remember seeing is in the state of MS, OM was third. More people claimed Southern Miss than Ole Miss. I'm sure OM has a lot more out of state fans though (Memphis, East Arky, etc.)

Probably just didn't want to claim OM at the time. OM gets all of west and north MS that isn't 30 minutes away from Starkville. Big Bama presense in Meridian and Columbus. South MS is LSU and OM

I would say Arkansas as a whole is :
80% Hogs
5% OU/OSU
5% ASU
5% mixed out of state schools (we have a ton more AU, Florida, and LSU stickers than Bama stickers, I almost never see anyone with Bama apparel or stickers etc)
5% random top 5 team bandwagon fans
NWA probably has more OU and eastern Arkansas has more of the Mississippi schools, but still well under 10% of the total. I think I saw a UALR sticker once and maybe a couple UCA ones...but those are probably current students.

Football is one thing. In basketball, however, Kentucky has a large following in Tennessee. Everyone loves a winner. I guess that's why Alabama fans are also numerous in TN.

North Carolina (nc) is 70% UNC, Bama and Auburn get about 5% each. For SEC, UT dominates here.

He's right, a lot of them in NC too.

Lots of Ohio residents vacation here, retire here, send their kids to school here. Plenty of transplants.

There are bama fans all over the panhandle, we usually clean house on the recruits in that area too

99% of the 1% of lsu fans are in Baldwin and mobile county. They're everywhere down here

Yeah they are. But in their defense, they are just as close to BR as they are Tuscaloosa/Auburn
