Despite being from MS, I've never spent much time here. Definitely a surprising place. I really didn't think MS had any towns like this. However, last call at 1 a.m. kind of sucks. Maybe Austin has just spoiled me.

In fairness, Whataburger gets more sketchy the further you get from Tejas.

I'm jealous. I would give my left nut for some Ajax or Rice and Spice right now. It's Fantasy Fest in Key West and things are weird.

I may be moving here soon, so I guess I'll have to try that.

At least drinking here is cheaper than Austin by a lot.

You can drink very well for very cheap in Oxford, that's for damn sure. You should request access to the Bearshark board, lots of suggestions over there.

I wonder how life will change there once the NCAA guts that football program. I bet Freeze's house will be a steal.

I doubt you are really from Mississippi. The state has plenty of quaint small towns.

I am, and no it doesn't. I doubt you have spent a hell of a lot of time here, and if you have, it was with your eyes closed. One of the hardest things about the state for those of us that love it is the desperation most of those so-called quaint small towns find themselves in currently and the lack of good answers to solve that problem.

I grew up here, and one line of my family has been in Natchez since it was founded as a port on the Mississippi. The rest settled the area in between Utica and Vicksburg. I'm sure as hell not defending my Mississippi bona fides to an Alabama fan.

As far as Oxford and Ole Miss, I have to eat some crow. I've never spent a whole lot of time there, just the occasional football game when I was in high school. I was really impressed with the place.

You are a Florida fan, which I assume means you knew what the NCAA had on Miami and you think the NCAA clearing Tunsil to play means we are going to get gutted when Miami is fine? Ok then
