Y’all ain’t old enough but one of the greatest names ever was I M Hipp. It wasn’t technically a nickname since I M were his initials. Nebraska running back. Not SEC but great.

It has to be Snake Stabler, who earned his nickname at Foley Jr. High after running a punt back for a touchdown in a zig-zag pattern for a TD, while covering about 250 yards due to the snake-like pattern.
