I just don't know if the defense has improved enough to get there. We gave up an amazing number of big plays, every fricking week.
Nicholls State, a mediocre FCS team, broke a 67 yd TD run.
South Carolina had runs of 66 and 75 yds.
Ole Miss had a 50 yd run.
A&M had a 54 yd pass.
Alabama had a 72 yd run
Florida had a 55 yd run
Vandy had a 63 yd pass
Oklahoma had a 50 yd pass
Note- this is just a quick box score check, longest plays from each player. It doesn't account for someone's 2nd longest play. And I'm only listing plays over 50 yds.
That's 6 runs over 50 yds. Totally unacceptable.
And that's for a team that still won 9 games.
