Alabama will be back atop the football world and everyone will hate us more than they do now...if that is possible.

I think Spurrier is mailing it in right now. Can't see him coaching 5 years from now in SC.

Not sure about Saban either. Depends on how this season goes. Don't think last season was too pleasant for him.

I think Saban will end his career at Alabama, I just don't know how long he will stay. He may just coach for 3 or 4 years and then hang it up. I would like to see us get 8 years out of him. That would make him 63 years old and I think he will retire by that time.

I would if I had all of that money.

I would bet my life that he doesn't retire at 63 or make it 8 years in gumpville. Just don't think it gonna happen.

Well, it is an LSU board. That being said, the rational thinking would have LSU at the top. Should Bama go 8-4 or 9-3 next year, then maybe it is up for more discussion. But what makes you think a team that was fortunate to finish at 7-6 last year would find their way to the top of the West in 5 years? I don't see how one could conclude that based on the past few years...

I agree with this statement. We all know Saban is a great recruiter but let's see how things go the next few years before we decide on how well Bama will do over the next 5 or so years. I think we'll be up there with LSU and AU in the next few years but as of right now, there's no logical explanation to defend on why we'll be better than LSU or AU over the next 5 years.

I think AU MIGHT outrecruit Bama this year and if they do, forget it.

Dre Kirkpatrick
Nico Johnson
Kendall Kelly

The only who possibly might not be coming is Patrick.

Awesome name.

1. UF - Don't see them slowing down with Meyer there. They recruit well and have a great offensive system.

2. UGA - I honestly don't see them ever moving to the top with Richt there. He's consistent, but I don't think he has what it takes to overtake UF.

3. Tenn - They need to fire Fulmer and get back to their old recruiting success.

4. USC - I don't think Spurrier will even be there in 5 years. Regardless, they're mediocre.

5. UK - Brooks is a solid coach, and they'll bring in decent talent. They can't fall below Vandy, can they?

6. Vandy - Poor Vandy.

1. LSU - No reason to say they'll fall. The talent is high enough so that any coach could come in if Miles left and still lead the program to 10 win seasons.

2. Bama - I'm not sure if Saban will be here by this point, but Bama will already be back. The talent, facilities, boosters, and tradition won't settle for mediocrity for another 5 years.

3. Arkansas - Great facilities with a great offensive minded coach. If he stays, they'll be a consistent 8-9 win team each year. First few seasons will be rough.

4. Auburn - I think Tubbs leaves within 5 years, and if he does, Auburn's lack of talent will finally catch up to them.

5. Ole Miss - Five seems really low, but I think they'll be a consistent bowl team, trading seasons with finishes as high as 3 or as low as 6.

6. MSU - The same applies for Mississippi State as Ole Miss.
