The Klan showed up to protest Ole Miss and they were shouted down. Btw, one of Klan members sported an Auburn cap.

David Duke was the last grand wizard of the ku klux klan voted into any statewide office. It happened in Louisiana. From 1989 to 1992 he was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
