Bama's issue last year wasn't offense.
I don't know, your defense played good enough to beat Auburn and just ran into the greatest college offense ever with LSU.

Tua was great, but with him at QB it was a lot more finesse & risky style of play.
You minimize risk by utilizing all of your potential mismatches (such as four stud WRs) if you're someone like Bama. This is what LSU failed to do until last season

LSU will kill them if they do!

It was in big games because of turnovers and an inability to score when explosive plays weren't available.
And that’s kinda what I’m getting at.

Meh. Bama is probably the only school that can play that style because they have the ability to recruit good enough players to exert their will on teams.
LSU may not have been able to win pounding the rock, but that doesn’t mean Bama can’t.
LSU had a good year last year, but they’re not Bama. Let’s not forget that.

Why do you think Saban got away from "pounding the rock"?

No one plays that offense anymore, you can't recruit for it.

You have to have a shutdown defense to run that style of offense.
Its almost impossible to have a shutdown defense week in and week out nowdays because of the way the games are officiated and the RPO.
Saban didnt change his entire mindset just for the hell of it.
