Long didn't hire Morris. He was fired a few weeks before Bert was fired.

Chad Morris kinda lucked into having Tajh Boyd, DeAndre Hopkins, and Sammy Watkins for 3 straight years. That’s what made him a household name.

His recruiting wasn’t bad He and his staff couldn’t coach, game plan, or develop players. When he was fired his staff either quit coaching, went to a D-2 job or went to high school. They were terrible

Florida st coach Norvell wanted the job but he had “skeletons in his closet.” Think the pirate was interested too. But we went with Chad fricking Morris. So dumb.

At his introductory press conference he “rappelled” down from the rafters. It would have been fitting for his firing to have involved him being yanked back up into the ceiling.

Obviously, I'm not pissed. I think it was great. I watched Mizzou beat them 38-0 in a downpour.
Regardless, however, how can you be mad at Chad Morris? He was just a really bad coach who had no business whatsoever being a head coach at a P4 school, much less an SEC school. The guy went 14-22 at SMU for crying out loud. EVERYONE knew it was a terrible hire the moment it was announced. It you're going to be mad, be mad at the Arky higher ups who approved the hire. Absolutely clueless.

Got boat raced by Western Kentucky, lead by the home town hero quarterback he ran off from Arkansas.
First time and hopefully the last time I'll ever root against the Hogs. As far as I'm concerned, Ty Storey represented the state in that game and The Fighting Chaggies were the visitors.

It’s not his fault. Blame Arkansas for hiring a guy who had a losing record over 3 years at SMU and lost his only bowl appearance. That school loves hiring lemons.
