There is certainly a country element to his music. In fact, if you had to place him into one of the major genres, it would be country. Not saying he is country, keep in mind. But he is an underrated musician. There is no better drinking music on a warm spring day, period.

His first album was country. I think of his music as Caribbean folk, but it is really Country with steel drums instead of steel guitars.

Then hunt and fish. If you want to go deer hunting hmu and I'll take you to Jackson's Gap to hunt my family's land. Hell I'll take anyone. People are too damn scared to ask a lot of the time. It's not imposing on me at all. Deer hunting to me is an excuse to pull off a flask and enjoy a nice fat dip

Three things happened:

1) The economy crashed and the hunting/fishing club my family used to be members of sold their business.
2) I got really busy with shite in late high school and my dad's work schedule wasn't very flexible either.
3) I turned 16 and never took the stupid Alabama Hunter safety course.

Also, my dad, who got me into hunting, didn't really know anyone in the area. He used to duck hunt with oil field buddies back in LA. Never was into deer hunting so I've never been.

Mostly squirrel, occasionally dove, and duck.

You are missing out.

Fried squirrel > Fried Chicken
Venison > steak (and I love steak...)

dove, duck, and quail are all very good as well.

Not something I've had the opportunity to eat very often, but fried frog legs and alligator sausage are also delicious.

Squirrel, venison, and rattlesnake are all miles better than fried chicken or any kind of beef or pork. And that's just off the top of my head.

Damn I'd kill for some venison sausage about now My cousin in Bryan makes the best

I'll be honest, it's been a while. Perhaps rose colored glasses, but it was damn good. I like that gamey flavor.
