1st heard of them in this Bonstonker LSU hype vid
He got the clip from the ME2 trailer
Oh HELL yes!!!
If I can find out who makes trailer music I like, I'm usually set:
Celldweller--Wings of Icarus
Originally heard that on a preview for TAMU's 2011 season (can't find the vid now, though). Then heard it again as the trailer music for the Hugh Jackman movie "Real Steel"

It's an absolute shame so much of Towne's time was wasted because of drug and alcohol abuse. He is one of the most brilliant American artists, and gets far too little recognition.

I'm going to make it my life mission to make the SECR IM people appreciate good country. It's going to happen by damnit. I'll make sure of it.

Funny that you link them. Someone just introduced me to this last week.
Also, completely unrelated, but this is a really great piano piece that I just felt like posting. Always brings a tear to my eye.
eta: What the song was originally from. Pretty dark scene with some weight to it imo. :nb4it'sjustagame:

Does Jimmy Buffett count as country? If so, I love him.

I shall join you on your quest
Seriously, though, I have little patience for anyone who speaks in absolutes regarding the music they think they like or not. There's so much influence in every genre that it's impossible to make too many distinctions after awhile.
I can appreciate everything, and I think most people can, if they're honest with themselves.

Just out of curiosity, do you go to Rodeo or no? I've got a guess, but I want to see if I'm right nor not.

The best music comes from absolute pain or absolute great times, more so the former.

Bunch of people dressed up in obnoxious, over-done redneck shite and getting drunk? Nah, not my cup of tea.

There is certainly a country element to his music. In fact, if you had to place him into one of the major genres, it would be country. Not saying he is country, keep in mind. But he is an underrated musician. There is no better drinking music on a warm spring day, period.

I've got some country in me, but I've kind of drifted away from my country side.
Shame too. I miss hunting and fishing.

Then hunt and fish. If you want to go deer hunting hmu and I'll take you to Jackson's Gap to hunt my family's land. Hell I'll take anyone. People are too damn scared to ask a lot of the time. It's not imposing on me at all. Deer hunting to me is an excuse to pull off a flask and enjoy a nice fat dip.
