Nashville?
Nashville is questionable as being south.
Atlanta is the best city in the actual south.

Atlanta was better before or after Sherman burnt it?

Rural Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, etc. are fricking scary.
Corn fields as far as the eye can see. Amish people too. The none-Amish people aren't stuck in the 16th century, but are generally pretty secluded from the 21st century.

I agree. I would've considered Georgia Tech had it not been in ATL.

Don't live in a shitty city and you don't have to deal with it. I think I'm doing quite fine as far as education and there are a lot of intelligent and educated people in Auburn. I agree, as a whole the south is full of ignorant fricks, but the north has its share of that as well. I've been to podunk, middle of fricking nowhere Michigan.
South = Military Leaders.
Patton.
quote:
As a boy, Patton read widely in the classics and military history. His father was a friend of John Singleton Mosby, the noted cavalry leader of the Confederate Army in the American Civil War who served first under J.E.B. Stuart and then as a guerrilla fighter. Patton grew up hearing Mosby's stories of his adventures, and longed to become a general himself.
Patton came from a military family, his ancestors including General Hugh Mercer of the American Revolution.[5] His great uncle, Waller T. Patton, died of wounds received in Pickett's Charge during the Battle of Gettysburg. John M. Patton and Isaac Patton, also his great uncles, were colonels in the Confederate States Army. His great uncle William T. Glassell was a Confederate States Navy officer. Hugh Weedon Mercer, a Confederate general, was his close relative. John M. Patton, a great-grandfather, was a lawyer and politician who had served as acting governor of Virginia.

It's not often I find myself agreeing with diddy, but I'm gonna have to go all in on this one.

You say that you don't like country because you weren't born in the south, yet you say that the heart of country music isn't in the South? You can only bend things to fit your argument so many times.

I was stationed at Fort Campbell for almost three years and spent plenty of time in Nashville.

Like sms I understand why he did it and respect him as a brilliant military mind.
From a southern pride perspective, I agree that he was a fricking a-hole who destroyed an incredible amount of southern history and deserves terrible things.
