They should make ATL to Montgomery 3 lane the entire way, considering more and more truck traffic is traveling that road, especially with Kia in West Point and Hyundai in Montgomery.

Tell me about it. 85 between Montgomery and Opelika was fricking horrible when I was in school. It wasn't even the worst part of the trip though. 82 between Prattville and Tuscaloosa is 2nd only to 65 between Mobile and Montgomery in terms of unholy miserable drives.

The BBQ place on 82 is the only reason I go that way to T-Town

It's gotten better. The only real boring parts are from Peachtree City to the AL/GA state line, and Wire Rd to Shorter.

Came through in the summer and it was a snore. I get so bored on long drives though. It's not the worst that I've seen. There's a stretch in Pennsylvania up near Oil City that will knock you out. And the deserts of California.

I think I may be the John McEnroe of tSECr. Good call or bad, I'm yelling at the chair.

I don't yell at anything. Sometimes I need to drink though. To pacify myself.

I play a ton of net... in general even if I get passed or get a ball that I can't handle at the net occasionally, I win so many points as a result of people trying to overhit it that it evens out. Key is just not being predictable. I play against 5.0-5.5 players pretty regularly and have no issues coming to net. Don't have the serve to play like I used to after my shoulder injury though :( I miss the days of bombing it 135+ out wide and coming in behind it. I can still kick it over most peoples heads though if they're not quick.

<eta> my drop volley is second to none... I get more evil looks from that shot than ANYTHING else. I've made my brother quit multiple times as a result.

I hate you.

I'm doing good to get 105 with control. My serve is trash from a speed standpoint. Around 98-101 I can place the ball where I want.

I've got a mean drop shot and I'm ambidextrous. I've also got a weird ability to hit a ball with my back to the net. Doesn't come in handy that often, but it drives my friends crazy.

I play 3.5-4 range.

Honestly that's not bad if you're placing it well and mixing it up. I can run one up to about 115/120 these days but not until pretty far into the first or early second set. Takes a long time for my shoulder to get loose enough to let one go and not pay for it afterwards.

I hate you.

My left hand/arm is essentially non-functional. After my injury I literally considered going Nadal and starting from scratch lefty but my left side is literally less coordinated than any special ed kid you've ever seen.

I throw these in plenty but the ability to just take all the pace off of a groundstroke from the net and watch it die and roll to the service line is a glorious feeling. Crushes souls when your opponent cranks one and it just dips back over with nothing on it.

Haha... I've never been terribly good at this. Would come in handy playing doubles, I struggle to run down balls and throw a lob back up sometimes. I do hit my high backhand volleys this way essentially. In the process of hitting the volley I do a 360. Coaches always yelled at me but it works for me and I recover better.

I'm not talking lob

I can put some pace on it and honestly it looks better than my backhand some days. It's just a quick flat wrist flick and usually pretty flat.

From the forehand side I can do this... can't do shite with it from my backhand side. Best case scenario, moon ball topspin lob. Worst case... floater that gets crushed back.

Yeah, thats where the ambidextrous part comes in handy. Also lets me snag some balls that would be a bit out of reach otherwise.

ETA: Have you ever played on clay?

Fibbs would roll me IRL. I've got one friend who plays at 5.5 level. Only time I've ever smashed a racquet.

Thankfully, I don't require a lot of booze when we lose at basketball. Football is a whole different story. Football will ruin my fricking weekend.

I've had a lot of bad weekends in the last two football seasons.
