but I'm not sorry that putting it out there has resulted in the story coming out and it now appears that Morgantown Police are looking for information about why a guy is in surgery this morning in Pittsburgh.

Hopefully the major media pick this up and the whole damn state of West Virginia is embarrassed.

I guess I understand why people would doubt a new poster with such a story, but like I said, I'm a MSU fan with no bone to pick with WVU or LSU.

I'm going to go back to Grindin' for my 6-6 team now.

This is on West Virginia's FB page. I think it is going to get some leg work now. You are fine and thanks for passing the info along. It's a shame that this happened anywhere.

Why blame the entire state? It was an incident with a few people, unfortunately. But also no details are known. Please keep the hate to yourself.

How are you for sure that this:

refers to this:
quote:

An LSU fan got his arse whipped bad Saturday in Morgantown. Some WV fan threw a rock through the window of the guy's car while they were stopped in traffic, the rock hit someone in the car, words were exchanged, and then a gang of WV fans pulled the driver from the car and beat the ever living **** out of him. His wife, who is pregnant, jumps out to stop it because it's so bad. She gets thrown to the ground, but her and the baby have been checked out and are fine. The guy has a fractured forehead, broken nose, and eye socket. He's scheduled for surgery as soon as the swelling goes down.

The guy's name is Marcus Mason. He's from Natchez. His wife's name is Hannah. They have a 2 year old too. This is his wife's last facebook post.

Via Marcus' wife:

"Overwhelmed by all the posts, prayers, and concerned friends- thank you all, I cannot say thank you enough. I just left the hospital to try to let us rest. After several sorts of trauma/ER teams at UPMC Presbyterian (I think there were 6) examined Marcus up and down, they've deducted that 1) He has no brain injury, though his frontal bone is fractured right in the middle of his forehead, yet it will heal on its own, 2) He has a shattered bone in his eye socket that needs replacing with a couple of screws and a plastic plate? but his vision is good, 3) His nose is severely broken but will somehow be straightened out, 4) His shoulder is NOT broken but feels as though it is, and 5) No one can break his sense of humor. So many precautions were taken and tests were done today that the surgery will be tomorrow. I am very sore but holding a precious boy on my lap, one in my tummy, and the other in my heart. These boys are my life that I cannot imagine without them. Marcus' first words when his friends walked in, "HOW 'BOUT THEM TIGERS?!"

No hate here. I said it was a shame that it happened anywhere.

Shame on the people involved and I hope they are caught and handled accordingly.

There are bad apples in every bunch.

I don't think WVU would have put anything on their page if it didn't have something to do with the story traveling around facebook and other message boards but I don't know.

Seems to me that WVU has alot of bad apples tho. Those shirts making fun of katrina were fricking bush league as bush league gets.

I know that LSU fans can be obnoxious but do any of you think they would EVER make a shirt making fun of the coal mining accident? frick no.

So, in general terms, frick WVU and their fans.

How would one even go about making a shirt mocking the coal mining incidents?

FWIW my buddy went up there for the game with a ticket, but didn't get to go to the game because the other guy he was with disappeared and passed out and he was holding the tickets. But anyway, he found some WV fans watching the game at their tailgate, and asked if he could join them, and they gladly accepted him and were very nice and hospitable.

So don't criticize the whole fanbase...every fanbase has idiots.

I'm just not seeing any good lines for a shirt. "What happens in the shaft stays in the shaft" is the only one I could think of.

Also, frick those couch burning Jesco Whites

This.

But unfortunately, those bad apples give everyone associated with said fan-base a bad name. I'm sure WVU has good fans mixed in with the crazies.

Shame on the people that did this.
