The most intriguing matchup of this coming week -- to me -- is Auburn @Penn State.

The Nittany Lions are 6-point favorites at home. In any matchup, usually, the home team is given an automatic 6 points. Therefore, in reality, this game's a toss-up.

Believe it or not, the Arkansas win over Texas may have an effect on AU. A good one. Arkansas' inspiring play against a hated rival was great to watch.

There's no rivalry here between AU & PSU, but playing @PSU is never easy...a boisterous and nasty crowd. Another white-out. Playing an SEC traditional power like Auburn will fire up Penn State big time.

But, something tells me Auburn's better than advertised. They're like LSU...they can be so schizophrenic in character from one year to the next, you almost never know what they'll be like sometimes. When you're not sure, take heed and beware.

I'm calling it...............

WAR EAGLE, FLY DOWN THE FIELD!

Home team advantage is worth 6 points? That seems a bit high. I thought it was more around 3 - 3.5.

Traditionally, it's been 6 points.

Way to step out on a ledge there, buddy. Anybody that has watched these 2 teams know that PSU is a fraud. Auburn should win and can win big. AU wins by 14+.

It’s six points

On a neutral field it’s three points less then another three point swing at the opposing teams home field

Penn St will win this year...

But what BH is building, if he can keep it up... yeah, he will do well at Auburn...

Dang It!

This doesn't make sense... why would either team get points for playing on a neutral field?

Statistically, home field advantage differs by team but is historically around a field goal (2.5-3.5 points for most teams).

yep. Home field is worth 3 points.

The line started at 7.

It dropped to 5 quickly........this mean the early money was on Auburn. Early money is usually sharp's.

It moved back to 6 1/2 by late Sunday.

There is no telling who will win this game. Auburn has the SEC speed. I am not sure how our OL will hold up against their DL. Their front 7 looked really good against Wisc.. That is a very hostile environment.

I am looking forward to the game. We will see where Auburn is. The first two games tell us absolutely nothing.

Should be a great game in a fantastic college football environment. Auburn should bring their long cleats because the grass will be high... good luck Tigers!
