Peetz actually did fine imo, there’s only so much you can scheme around an FCS level offensive line. At least he didn’t keep running into the wall. Jones on the other hand doesn’t look like much of a step up from pelini based on one game.

With coordinators who have never actually held the position before?
Perhaps being in that position in the first place is part of the reason for the calls for O's firing?
Is it unrealistic to expect competent assistants to be hired?

But I thought he was one of you? I could swear I've read that somewhere before

0 will probably enter Saban’s rehab program next year if he can qualify for it.

I'm failing to see how you think it's "unrealistic" that LSU fans expect their head coach to be competent.

It’s really not like a one game deal. It’s a continuation from last season is why they are pissed. There are however new coaches so it is a different season. But the hangover from last season is still there.

Is it unreasonable to expect marginal improvement from that on a team that just pulled another top 5 recruiting class and returned almost the whole starting lineup? Seriously
First talent hasn't been the question at LSU. Alarms should of went off when Coach O basically had a 2 month head start to hire talented veteran coordinators.
This board for months watch all the ingredients of a dumpster fire come together. Hell 2020 should have been harbinger for LSU folks alone. Nope we've seen poster after poster from LSU convinced themselves and tried to convince this board 2020 didn't matter.
Negatives.

if Saban somehow found a way to lose 4 games this year, y’all would be the same way.
Not really. You’d have a vocal minority calling for him to be fired (the idiots do it even if he loses 1 game.) But most fans would not be doing that. Now if Saban covered up sexual assault and rape a lot of us would be wanting him gone

Please. You turned on your own coach before he ever coached a game, just because he hired a coupla whores and charged them to his expense account.
Posted on 9/6/21 at 6:55 pm to vuvuzela
I didn't want him in the first place. 1 good season because of going to an NFL style offense and because we lose that coordinator we lose a whole game plan????

Really? This is the fanbase that has been melting for 15 years over Nick Saban..

This whole thread is about how LSU fans turned on the coach, but you just outlined the reason why. Fans gave him the benefit of the doubt for last season and wrote it off as the perfect storm because of 2019 and because there were some legitimate reasons to believe things should be different this year. What happened Saturday showed LSU fans that 2020 was not the perfect storm it was where Orgeron has the program headed, and that is why the fans have turned on him, plain and simple.

Nope, nope, nope. Check my post history. I’ve maintained it was a bad hire from day one. Anyone who considers that Mellon head to be a HC, doesn’t know much about sports.

There's literally like 5 posters here who push the asterisk narrative and they're doing it to troll Bammers and Aggies.
It seems to have worked very well.

Half you alabana fans wanted to find Sabans replacement after 42-16
We all remember.

Auburn fans stormed the fricking airport runway to protest Chizik’s arrival, won a natty for the first time in color TV age in his 2nd season, then fired him 2 seasons later.
they sure fell for Malzahn’s snake oil though. Totally bizarre

Literally didn't mention an asterisk, but if you want to say only 5 that's your business.
I'm more referring LSU program not taking 2020 seriously, let me rephrase that... not putting the work to fully take advantage of the talent in Red stick.
Max Johnson looked scared, UCLA ran 3 different blitzes all game that was it:
Delayed Blitz though the A and B then the other off Max's weak side. Lmao literally y'all right tackle was giving away if it was run based or passing play by his alignment.
I know people on TV noticed it UCLA noticed it.
No hot calls, no route adjustments, no RB picking up the Blitz instead the were flaring to flats on 3rd and longs.

that's true, Auburn with Chizik certainly was a quick affair. Didn't seem quite as bitter though, not sure why.
