It's a dirty fricking city.
I guess the only redeeming things are the Penguins and the Steelers.

I know. I have worked in D1 and high school sports.
I get so frustrated with some of the people that act like every play should be perfect and are just clueless about how athletic departments are run.

Gator Hockey players are usually good at golf when first getting into it. They just struggle with speeds of putts.

I have always wanted to learn to play golf. I need someone that has a lot of patience to teach me though. I get pissed if I'm not good at something immediately. It is a hobby I want to pick up one day though.
You can get lessons from pro's at most courses. It's fun. I haven't played in years, but I want to get back into it.

Agreed.
And damnit I've been to the promised land. I've seen the Smurf Turf in person. That's gotta be worth something in this world.

I take a 19th hole approach to Golf nowadays. I find it much more enjoyable, although I lose more golf balls.

I wasn't a slap hitter. My coach hated slap hitting.
He wouldn't let us sing in the dugout the entire game either. I never realized how annoying that shite was until I started working with HS softball as an adult.

A lot of these sports "experts" have no clue what football practice consists of. I saw that in the thread a while back where someone asked how many people actually played football.
Don't know if you remember me telling you but I spent two years as a h.s. linebackers coach.

I haven't played in so long that I would get dominated by most people. I am one of the few that actually gets enjoyment out of even watching it on TV though.

I like how people say wished I could be on sidelines during games, you can see everything.
I shake my head and think, damn they have no clue how you can't see anything or you usually are busy dealing with stuff that nobody even knows is happening.

My degree is in Athletic Training. I worked with high schools. I'm not doing it anymore though. Not enough money.

I'm contemplating stopping in Augusta on my way back to Cola on Sunday and hanging out at the Hooters across from Augusta National.

Exactly.
I always watched every play of the game though. I had to. To this day, when I'm watching football on tv or in a stadium, I watch to see if every player gets up.

My last year in college athletics we played Boise out there it was awful. I should've never went to my last school before I got out.
I regret not accepting the pay cut and going to SMU
