I’m in section 128 and would bet money you’re the fricker in the LSU hoodie sitting next to your friend in the surgical mask

These last few pages would be a good study on mental retardation

You sound like at best a warehouse worker. Hell, any middle class worker these days can just take a couple of hours off without their immediate report-to batting an eye especially if you mention its for going to a March Madness game.

$10 says I'm more attractive and have traveled more than you.

I'm not a lawyer or real estate agent. I have a modest, low 6 figure job.
But need to request PTO "by the hour?" Does not compute.

Your work is really that crazy with PTO? My boss would just be like "just make sure your projects are in a good spot and go have a good time." Who takes PTO for something like this?

Do you work in a corporate environment? I don't just do project work either.

I'm a CPA. We literally sell hours.

100,000 isn't what it used to be. If that is his total household income and he has a couple of kids, I wouldn't expect him to be able to afford trips to Hawaii, etc.
Depending where he lives, 100% true. Hell, our household income is way more than that and we only have 1 kid right now. With the economy sucking, childcare costs being absurd, and inflation…yeah we’re not living the big life either and we don’t love frivolously whatsoever. Living ain’t cheap these days unless you’re in rural America

My first firm had unlimited PTO but we still had to submit a request anytime we were out of the office longer than 2 hours. Moved to a boutique local firm and no one gives any kind of shite what you do, when you come in, when you leave, etc. just do your job and go make money. I block my calendar simply so my secretary doesn’t set appointments when I’ll be out.

Well stay in your lane or educate yourself on how many six figure jobs might request PTO.

That would make sense if the OP wasn't a dipshit Auburn fan.

Agreed. Not a lot of auburn fans there. It’s even after work.

We're not a boutique firm, but yeah this is just about it. Put it on my calendar so people know and set an out of office. Done.
ETA: Only time I'd put in a request is if I'm taking like a week or more off.
