Can see why he’s been successful
Any school that has a former offensive line coach as their current head coach should feel good about what’s possible.

Until tonight, his clock management skills have been absolutely woeful, at both Oregon and Miami. He still left too much time tonight, but better overall.
ETA: I do like the guy.was great position coach at Bama

True, but:
- Golding is just as bad at time management.
- Christobal built his team the right way. He focused on the lines of scrimmage and they’ve pushed 2 SEC teams around in the playoffs because of it. That’s worth a hat tip.

Elite recruiter. Questionable decision maker. Sometimes that combo works out.

He’s a good HC. I haven’t seen much of how he communicates to the team. These OL ogres command respect due to size. Saban was a midget.

You fricking LSU Chaci boys have to bring in Ole Miss in a thread that mentions nothing about them. Was a thread on Miami head coach.
What a bunch of pussyhat wearing, swamp sucking, nutria fricking complete waste of a human soul most of y’all are. Wow.

Golding’s first TO is one of the worst decisions I’ve seen on timeout use by the defense. Miami would have called the timeout for him or they would have been snapping the ball from the 15yd line with only 20 seconds left. Just idiocy

Cristobal and Keys are two of the worst coaches
They are great OL coaches and recruiters, without a doubt. Elite even
I would not want either of them coaching my team, destined to routinely lose games to nobodies because they don’t know basic clock management

Squeaked into the playoffs in a weak conference and got favorable playoff matches. OSU’s one weakness was the OL which Miami is built to crush
UGA would have beat them, and I fully expect Oregon or Indiana to win handedly

Due to Golding calling TOs like a moron and refusing to blitz Beck on the last drive (had 2 3rd and longs, no blitzes)

Miami would’ve dog walked UGA this year.
Oregon played JMU at home and an offensively inept Texas tech
That’s a favorable schedule
Miami might have the most impressive run to the national title game of all time this year

Aggies were a 1 loss SEC team whose only ranked win was 1 point over Notre Dame because they missed a XP and holding call
OSU was good, but it was a favorable matchup - OSU weakness = OL, Miami strength = DL
Ole Miss biggest weakness was run defense this season and that’s the only thing Miami can do reliably on offense, also a favorable matchup

Yes they had favorable matchups against 3 good playoff teams because Mario constructed and elite roster and coached them at an elite level

They are one dimensional on both sides of the ball, against OSU and Ole Miss it lined up perfectly for them
Miami’s not an efficient passing team
Miami’s secondary is a liability

I think Indiana has better discipline and that may be the factor but Miami can bully Indiana in the trenches
Indiana is tough too but Miami is just so stacked.
