No searching is required.
Who hired Harsin? Who hired Freeze? Like I said early on, Auburn is their own worst enemy.
You have the worst AD in the conference, and that is saying a lot. But I am sure things will work out just fine.

Brilliant Harvey!
Greene was vetted. Harsin not so much as the Board was attempting to step back and give him the freedom.
Auburn boosters gave Greene 5 years. Basketball team made first ever Final Four. Baseball team made two College World Series include one to Omaha. He also secured funding for the 91.9 million dollar football performance center.
The hiring of Harsin did raise some concerns with boosters. Boosters allowed Greene to hire Harsin but did tell him at that time if Harsin failed he (Greene) would be out as well.
Every schools “ Power” boosters know what it takes to compete in this conference and recognize the signs of a bad hire. They also know what the rivals are saying against them. Tell me one school in this conference that would not do something about it?
Once Harsin lost the Ga and Al High Schools by not visiting, unwilling to hit the recruiting road, did not attend state booster clubs, did not attend Bo’s charity golf tourney, worked 9-5, looked down on the southern culture, daughter who spent more time in the athletic dorms than the athletes…. It was over.
What Auburn had/has on Harsin is enough to embarrass his entire family and damage his credibility as a coach. Auburn took the negative press and all the rumors that came with it and remained silent on Harsin.
As evidenced since Freeze has arrived Auburn Board, President, Power Boosters are all on one page and supporting Coach and his outstanding staff.
With relation to Personal Shortcomings… only those that are negative, unhappy, failures in life continue to view Coach in that light. Those people are just as guilty if not more in their lives.
What your ignorance and the rest do no not know is that every High School coach, recruit, current player, momma, dad, family member, booster knows Coaches past. He looks them in the eye and tells them the truth. He did the same at Liberty. Perhaps that is why recruits and their families are seriously considering and trusting their 4-5 star sons to play for this man and his Staff.
Continue the diatribe and jokes. It would appear that Auburn and Coach Freeze may just have the last laugh here soon.

How do I know?
Not gloating just backing up my statements.
My son coaches 7A, Gwinnett County, Ga for a number of years. He has kids playing at Liberty, Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Miami, Tennessee just name drop a few.
Coaches? He knows every one of them. Ask the UGA fans about 7A, Gwinnett County, Ga.
You trolls do not know crap!

In two seasons Harsin recruited and signed 19 four star recruits. That is an average of 9.5 per season.
Auburn has, based solely on recruiting rankings, the 16th most talented roster in the country. Half of the classes that is based on are Harsin’s classes.
For comparison, Freeze, who is regarded as an elite recruiter, signed 11 four stars last season and is on pace to sign 25 over his first 2 seasons. But based just on actual signed classes, he is averaging 11 per season.
In Gus’ final two seasons, he recruited and signed 23 four stars. That is an average of 11.5 per season.
So yes, Harsin was not an elite recruiter. But he was not a huge drop off. He averaged 9.5 four stars vs. 11 and 11.5.
The numbers don’t lie. The myth that Harsin didn’t recruit at all is just that, a myth. Again, that was something started by people working against him internally and ignorantly repeated by casual fans.
Crazy to do this much research on a football program you don't follow, just for it all to be wrong.

There are some upset Auburn fans in this thread. But I can’t blame you after three straight losing seasons and only one ten win season in the last ten years. Chin up though, there is a good chance you guys will get back to 7-5 this year.
