Auburn deserved way better than Bryan Harsin.

Auburn’s classes in the years leading up to Harsin:
2017 - 9th
2018 - 12th
2019 - 11th
Auburn’s classes under Harsin:
2020 - 8th (maintained the class we already had)
2021 - 18th
2022 - 21st
Auburn’s classes after Harsin:
2023 - 19th (Freeze slavaged what he could of Harsin’s class)
2024 - 8th
2025 - Currently 5th
You can’t see a trend there? We were terrible on the field and landing classes in the 20s…you can’t do that at Auburn

Stallings got upset by State and was headed that way. It's not like he wanted to retire.

On3 2022 Auburn Recruiting Class
On3 2023 Auburn Recruiting Class
Here are Harsin’s classes. They ranked 16th and 17th nationally.
Here is what Auburn’s recruiting rank was each year along with their record that season.
2010: 7th. 14-0
2011: 3rd. 8-5
2012: 13th. 3-9
2013: 14th. 12-2
2014: 6th. 8-5
2015: 8th. 7-6
2016: 5th. 8-5
2017: 13th. 10-4
2018: 9th. 8-5
2019: 12th. 9-4
2020: 7th. 6-5
2021: 19th. 6-7
2022: 16th. 5-7
2023: 17th. 6-7
2024: 8th. TBD
What is shocking is how during the peak of Auburn recruiting from 2014-2020,, there was only one 10 win season. It appears that a top ten recruiting class gets Auburn 8 wins, while a top 20 recruiting ranking gets Auburn 6 wins. Even if you compare season records to previous recruiting classes, you don’t see a direct correlation between high ranked recruiting classes and success on the field. There were a whole lot of talented Auburn teams that had 8 or less wins. Of course. i guess you guys would consider an 8 win season a huge success now.
Maybe you guys need a good X and O coach more than you need a good recruiter.

I literally just told you that the cream of the crop of the 2023 class Freeze brought in after Harsin was fired. Are you retarded?
On3 is retarded for rating that 2022 class above 2023's class as well.
Auburn got three "four stars" from juco and a four star safety that was our point guard but you think that's the equivalent of signing Keldrick Faulk, Connor Lew, Kayin Lee and so on? I got beachfront property in Kansas to sell to you.
Literally who the frick is Marquise Gilbert and why are using him to explain Harsin's recruiting "clout."

If you want to give Freeze credit for the 17th ranked 2023 class, by all means do. So Freeze’ two classes are 17th and 8th.
I was not pinning 2023 on him, good or bad. Just like I wasn’t pinning 2021 on Harsin.
Since the early signing period started in 2017, most signing classes are largely done by December. But if you want to say that the 2021 class is Harsin’s and the 2023 is Freeze’, then by all means do
Something no one has seemed to consider about the 2021 and 2023 classes, and why they are ranked so low, is because of coaching changes during the important early signing period.
Auburn did not have a head coach during the early signing period in 2020. Gus was fired before the period and Harsin was not hired until afterwards. So of course the 2021 class was going to be a struggle.
The 2023 class had the same challenge. Harsin was fired in October 2022 and again Auburn didn’t have a coach until Freeze was hired at the end of November, less than three weeks before the early signing period.
Harsin only had the opportunity to fully recruit one class at Auburn. But that is no surprise, people wanted him fired before he even landed in Lee County.

Freeze can get credit for salvaging the 2023 class, but dont tell me Harsin gets credit for three of the gems in that class when they didnt have interest in Auburn till Harsin left. You and Harsin can give each other reacharounds over "4 star" jucos though!

Well, he came into about $15 million. Probably a good time to take a couple years off.
Any word on what he is doing now? I thought he'd be back out west in some capacity. He honestly seemed like a nice enough guy, just not quite ready for a big time program in a very difficult era of drastically changing conditions

He is in no hurry to get back into coaching. He is going to wait and see which ones opens up and make a decision. Not all coaches will wait for the next one opens up. Colorado might be a good one in a few more years.

You just quoted two different people.
I don’t care about Bryan Harsin. I don’t know if he was a good coach or not. But I know he was destined for failure at Auburn. People wanted him fired before he coached a game. And now he is the whipping boy of low information Auburn fans. Even though he was right on par with Malzhan’s last season and Freeze’ first season. If you can’t look at that list of season records from 2010-2023 and not recognize there are more issues with the Auburn football program than just the head coach, I don’t know what to tell you. Just look at how inconsistent your program is. That is the sign of some deeper institutional level issues.
Again, I am still shaking my head that you managed to copy and quote two different posters without realizing it. I feel bad for you.
