I'll never understand how a team can come out so flat

Early start. Complacency after high ranking. Visiting a team with something to prove. Yada yada yada....

This is not just Sumlin and Chavis. You see other coaches make this mistake, too.

Can they not see it? Do they not prepare right? Is there nothing you can do once the female gets going?

I just don't understand how ANY team can be that flat for a game and generally not give a shite.

Where's the Tylenol?

Just say Bama beat you twice, it works for some.

Y'all had a lot to play for. Did not see this loss coming for the Aggies.

We haven't had a bad case of this since 2010.

IMHO, that is Saban's most remarkable achievement

State was just the better team.

Maybe yesterday they were, but this season they AREN'T. That's the point.

How can you only score 21 points on offense vs. a team that only gave up fewer than that against SOUTH CAROLINA.

Never ceases to amaze me. Put in so much work to get there. How can you not know you're gonna get the underdog's best shot at you? How can you not be motivated and fired up? It makes no sense to me. Never has. Never will.

I was on a football staff for 30 years and this is something that can't be explained. As a coach you can preach and preach to respect your opponent whether they are 6-0 or 0-6 but you just can't get kids to think that way. They show up not ready to play mentally...get hit in the mouth and never respond or wake up.

As Sumlinn said, "We got whooped." On that day Miss. St. Was the better team and that is what is great about college football. That QB is the real deal and will win lots of games and awards in his career.

Good fricking question. It's the only bet I lost yesterday.

I didn't watch your game, how much of it was due to the QB getting hurt?

The A&M loss was very surprising, never expected it. Just looked like they could not turn on the switch until it was too late

Considering that he was spraying the ball around and was something like 2 for 19 when he went down, I would say the effect was minimal.

This was my one correct upset pick of the week out of three. But the A&M players were worried about being #4 in an at this time, meaningless poll, instead of being worried about Mississippi State.

It happens every single year. It's already pre-determined before the season starts that A&M will fool alot of ppl before going on a losing streak. Hate to say it but it's comparable to LSU VS Bama.

Nope. And that team was stacked.

2013, we actually overachieved. That team had a few holes, which eventually caught up to us. Keeping motivated when you're on top is tough. It's much harder to stay motivated.
