Show me the penalties against Bama and their opponents for SEC games only. Show the same for Fla.
I guess we can start there. I don't know them, and dont care to research...but if it means that much to you, pull those stats up.

I think if bama did not cheat with the regularity that they have in the past this may not have had the same type of impact.

If it's not a conspiracy, why are we still talking about it?
bama/refs=conspiracy
plus, most ole miss fans are in the klan
enjoy,that is all

the facts
-it was a terrible blown call which cost LSU the *opportunity* to compete for a game that was still up for grabs. the game is now over and nothing can and will be done about it.
-we have 2 more huge games vs ole miss and arky that we have to win this year
thats all that matters at this point, and we will see bama next year in baton rouge.

You have no words of your own. You have no rebuttal. So yeah, I'll put words in your mouth. "that article is crap, whahh waaaa". Which part of it is crap? Come on and tell us or else shut up about the whole thing.

I'm leaving now, but I'll be back tomorrow just in case any of you thought of an argument. I don't expect to see anything except, "that's BS".

dude you cannot bring in a blog from al.com and establish creditability. frick that is like Moveon. org trying to say bush knew about 911.

It's pretty obvious that Teague is a little disturbed about Bama being involved in all of this negative talk. Hell, I'm already over the bullshite calls against us and we lost.
Teague, let it go fellow, and enjoy your season. You may even get a ship.
Ask me if I gave a shite when USC thought they were better than our BCS ship team. Hell no.
Controversy, it lives on when we don't let go.

I'm still failing to see how this is not a conspiracy.

be glad to, although i'm not concerned about any conspiracy theories.

My bigger question is whether or not Julio Jones touching the ball (he did) makes it a dead ball because he was out of bounds (he was).
quote:
Eligibility Lost by Going Out of Bounds
ARTICLE 4. No eligible offensive receiver who goes out of bounds during a
down shall touch a legal forward pass in the field of play or end zones or while
airborne until it has been touched by an opponent or official (A.R. 7-3-4-I-III).
PENALTY—Loss of down at the previous spot [S16 and S9].
so he can't down it before PP gets the chance to intercept it. not gonna weigh in on the rest though, i don't believe in a provable conspiracy. i just think we're putting up with plain old unacceptable officiating.

I don't believe in the conspiracy theory stuff anyway but
1) starts out by questioning it was caught by peterson, whether it was touched by jones, whether he was in bounds... pretty much a non-starter if he pretends to be objective. Makes a couple inaccurate claims about the rules anyway (which would only apply anyway if jones touched the ball - which he did not)
Any reasonable gump knows that was an interception and just points out LSU had work to do if they were going to do anything with it and leaves it at that
2) then it goes on to obsess about overall stats instead of noting a couple weird calls went both alabama's and florida's way when they needed them to ensure wins... that's the suspicious part to people that do believe in the conspiracy stuff

In the comments section...

I think it's pretty funny that an Alabama writer is writing a column about officiating. Are you seriously trying to make an argument that human beings are not naturally biased? Because if so, it's a pretty silly argument.
Please find out where the SEC officials are from, and give us percentages by state. Quit using the artificial "numbers" that make your silly argument look decent.
Ironic ... An Alabama sportswriter, writing a pro-Alabama article, yet contending against biases. Very nice journalism, my friend. Way to stay objective.

One of the dumbest article I've read in a long time... This guy was probably drunk when he was watching the game or probably didn't even watch the game at all and is just writing about shite he heard from the gumps. The whole nation watched it and they would disagree to every word this guy said.

Since when does one incident involving a booster paying Albert Means qualify as "cheating with regularity"?
