Outside of the tourney, no one watches college basketball. And most programs could raise more money than college baseball if they opened a GoFundMe account or held a garage sale. UVa brings nothing.

why does anyone talk about "cultural fit" in these conversations? we've just established that television runs the world. unc and uva expand the television footprint; fsu and clemson do not.
in any event, i'm opposed to any further sec expansion. the tv networks have turned off the money spigots - they probably won't pay money for ANY addition outside of notre dame, which isn't happening. adding more teams to the conference only cheapens the brand & destabilizes the rest of college football.

I'd be more surprised if UNC and NC State can break up. They're regulated by the same board, like Arizona and Arizona State, I think.

All real college football fans would say FSU and Clemson. Why? Because you are multiple times more likely to watch them and travel to see them play your team than any other ACC add minus ND who isn’t joining.

I’m not a voting member. ESPN is dying on a vibe, and they won’t do more TV money for 9 games. So those teams are gonna have to pound sand.
