Fran and Texas State could replace UT as your permanent cross-division opponent

No you aren't.
But I'll play along. OH St doesn't play anyone now. If they played any of the team's you listed it would be the first real teams they have played yet.

B1G. I have always respected the history of the team's in that conf. And believe that some day many of them will return to their former glory.
True, great history

I would like my Buckeyes to join the SEC East and get Missouri, Arkansas, Miss. St., or Ole Miss for our permanent opponent.
We would dominate the SEC Eastern titles!

Urban Meyer isn't stupid. Why play LSU every year when Georgia gets Auburn and USC gets Arkansas?
Meyer said if Saban can do it, why not me.
Saban left the Big-10 and Michigan St. for LSU because he was skeered of Ohio St. and Michigan.
Urban Meyer must have figured if Saban was skeered of Ohio St., then that is for me.

We don't join any conference. We simply just start a new one.

Like I've stated several times on here, LSU should grab Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and ALL the Texas schools to form the new and improved Southwestern Conference.

If the SEC were to split I would prefer Bama to be independent.
If a conference had to be found I'd say ACC or Big Ten. Would depend on if we could schedule a game with Tennessee every year on the third Saturday in October.
I'm sure an independent Bama would have no issues filling a 12 game schedule every season.

Which one would you pick? Football only, so geography doesn't have to be a consideration. Money is equal, and realignment is done forever after this move so the conference isn't disolving or merging with anyone in your lifetime.
ACC.

ACC would work. USC was a founding member and while there is bad blood, I'd rather us go back than to any other conference. Get to keep clemson and get old rivals back in UNC, NC state, and Duke plus trips to Miami and FSU. I think it would help our bball program out a great deal and we would compete for football championshps more years than not. Oh and we would run a train in Baseball.
ETA- didnt see 'football only' in OP. same answer tho
