Would have been, but he was penalized for taco comments and trying to give up the bagman....just kidding. He was actually kept out of my list by Clawson.
He was really good at fumbling with the game on the line.
1. Lewis
2. Henry
3. Garner (only played two years. Had a 6.7 carer ypc.)
------------
4. Majors
5. Lauricella
Lauricella makes my top 5.

If you list the all-time top 3 RBs for each SEC school
Kevin Faulk 4,557 and 46 TD
Dalton Hilliard 4,050 and 44 TD
Charles Alexander 4,035 and 42 TD
Anybody got 3 RBs that each ran for over at least 4,035 yards and 42 TDs.
Cool stat! Didn't even know that.
And this is not even including Doc Blanchard, Abe Mickal, HOFers Steve Van Buren, Jimmy Taylor, and Billy Cannon, plus
Brad Davis, Garry James, Harvey Williams, Jacob Hester, Joseph Addai, Jeremy Hill, etc.

UGA top 5...
5,259 – Herschel Walker, 1980-82 (SEC Record)...3 years
3,232 – Garrison Hearst, 1990-92...3 years
3,017 – Lars Tate, 1984-87...4 years
2,734 – Knowshon Moreno, 2007-08... 2 years
2,668 – Rodney Hampton, 1987-89... 3 years
Impressive list. And that's not even including Terrell Davis....

Terrell wasn't anything noteworthy at UGA.
And Gurley is the 2nd best RB we've ever had.

2. Bobby Humphrey
3. Ingram/Richardson/Lacy (even though he only had 1 full year)

Bear Bryant's only Heisman winner was an A&M running back by the name of John David Crow.

Yea, it's really tough to put together a list. A lot of All-American but not quite Heismanish guys, and a lot of guys who split carries so they didn't have awe inspiring numbers.

Dixon was a great runner, but UT's best RB's pretty much all split carries heavily. Dixon had 910 carries. Henry had 556. He also had 26 TDs - Not 21.

Sirr Lee Parker is the greatest running back of all time. The Lane train is the greatest fat running back of all time.

Rodney Thomas and Greg Hill were in the same backfield. That's a lot of TDs...

Gurley's gonna be a great pro back. Very similar but maybe a little more physical than Jeremy Hill.

2 of our top five played the same years between McFadden, Hillis, and Jones had 8,436 yards and 73 Tds Rushing only. Hillis only had 959 career rushing yards.
Felix Jones had a 7.7 yards per attempt average over his career.

And like Hill there is enough "other stuff" (Hill the police stuff and Gurley the ACL) that a smart, playoff type franchise is going to have them fall into their lap at 25-32 in the 1st or 2nd round.
