It's not enough that the SEC, Red elephant club and NFL are out to get them. Now the recruiting services are as well.

i understand whta you are saying, but I go to several other recruiting boards to get a feel of what other fan bases think about recruits being recruited by Georgia and their favorite team, and this is a common complaint among almost every fan base.

People complain that when a recruit is committed to their favorite team, that recruit is downgraded. The complain about the "Bama bump", and it goes on and on. This isn't a singular feeling among lSU fan.

After Georgia lost to Alabama in last years NC game, we saw Georgia fans complaining about officiating. I have seen LSU, Auburn and other fans claim officiating is slanted towards Alabama, and Alabama fans claim the truth is just the opposite.

I realize you are trolling and just trying to get a reaction out of LSU fans, but be more original.

Your holier than thou attitude explains a lot about your personality. It’s a shame you have to be stuck living in Louisiana, although I appreciate the fact that you do pay taxes. Why not consider moving to a much better location like let’s say Alabama or Mississippi or Arkansas. I hate to see someone like you suffering so much by living among people that you totally dislike.

I really haven't talked about louisiana culture at large, just the sports culture of Louisiana and how uniquely pitiful it is.

I love living here and have done so for over 20 years.

Look, as a neutral observer ...

Saints got screwed, and I don't even like them. LSU fans might be all kinds of paranoid, but at least they are passionate - got to give them that. I respect LA, which puts out some damned good players. And I honestly think with the recruiting thing, LSU fans have a legit gripe this year.

Looking at your logo, the color, and your name I see a trend here. Correct me if I’m wrong but you’re really A Tulane Green Wave weirdo.

Try and draw a distinction between sports fandom and an entire population of people and it's culture. They're not the same.

But based on your comment, ("at every turn he puts us down") victimhood is in your programming. I don't think someone like you could change if he tried and the beauty of it is this. You won't try.

If louisiana football fans stopped feeling sorry for themselves, they'd be alot less interesting.

Yes but at least they don’t scan other teams message boards and come back here reporting on everything. Now that would be pathetic and weak.

I have a question and I hope people don't think I am being rude because I am not.

Is it a Catholic thing?

Hear me out.

What I mean by that is I visited Boston in 2001 and noticed how so many folks up there felt like they were cursed even though the Celtics were one of the all time great sports franchises. Of course this was before the curse of the Bambino was broken, and the Pat's hadn't won anything.

And not necessarily just cursed, but also like they knew they were going to have bad luck or even that the deck was stacked against them.

I though maybe since Boston is largely Roman Catholic, as is New Orleans and I would guess at least the southern part of the state if not the majority of Louisiana, maybe it is more of a thing to believe in stuff like that among Catholics. I don't know, just asking.

Just looked up the demographics and Protestants outnumber Catholics 2-1 in LA, so I guess that shoots the shite out of my theory. Oh well

You haven’t been to other teams message boards then if you think this is only an “LSU identity”.

That's the problem with you people. You over identify with your quasi-celibrity coonasses as though a coonass is something more than the lousiana version of an Arkansas hillbilly or a Mississippi backwoods redneck.

That's a fair question.

New Orleans for instance is known as "the city that care forgot" meaning this. Please feel sorry for us.

I am a Catholic and believe it or not Louisiana’s Catholic population amounts to only 1/3 of the total. You may be onto something I would assume it would take somebody to actually study the way in which Catholics deal with distress over the other denominations. Despite what the OP has to say about Louisiana and its fans we are basically a happy people even though we realize that we are a poor state. But our spirit is strong and yes we are passionate about all things.
